Games that you would like to see Re-made

I'm not sure if this was a topic yet or not, and stop me if it is.

I personally would like to see:

Shadow of the Colossus, Dragon Valor, Jurassic Park: Trespasser, and Silent Hill 1 to all be re-made.

EDIT: This is not just for this generation, it can be for later ones (if/when they come)

I'm tempted to say Final Fantasy VII, for the sole reason of that it would shut everyone up about wanting it remade.

Either that or remake Final Fantasy IX to spite all the FFVII fanboys ;D

I'd like to see a remake of KotOR2 to have it completed in the way it was originally meant to be done, rather than the cut version that LucasArts pushed out the release door.

Perhaps a joint remake of Baldurs Gate 1 and 2+Expansions, simply because finding Baldurs Gate 1 these days is an arse and a half. Loved the voice actors, except Imoen. "Hey YA! It's me, Imoen!" I KNOW. BUGGER OFF.

Honestly, I think re-makes of games shouldn't happen.
They tend to be pretty bankrupt creatively and hardly ever fix what was wrong with the first game. In some cases they actually make the game worse (Tomb Raider Anniversary anyone?).

Plus the entire premise strikes me as a con, play the old game with sharper graphics? No thanks, I've got the old game, I know how this story ends.

And in the televised advertisment make it look like it is going to be FF7 before having Steiner give Cloud a swift kicking in the crotch

I know it would never happen but I would love a remake of Xenogears with improved graphics and an extra area or two. They'd never be able to add voice acting though, the script is akin to War&Peace in length!

First off, all of the games so many people want remade dont really stand up now. FFVII really go back and play it now... wow not so much. I loved it but really do we need to see cloud in HD doing some real time combat. How bout this... we leave the past in the past with the great memories we had of it. why would you risk tarnishing the fun of the 1st game? Also people complain about sequels and how people are not coming up with new ideas... how the hell do you justify a remake of all things with that logic. Another thing on FF before i go, stop with all the remakes on the DS and just focus on getting a new final fantasy out without a 7 year dev cycle.
