Games that'd do better on other systems

Any adventure game ever made on 360 should move to PS3 while inversely every shooter made on PS3 should be converted to 360: The PS3 is good for adventure games while not being suited for shooters, (note that adventure includes stealth games like MGS), while the 360's gamepad is made for shooters but doesn't work well for adventure games.

Yes, lets make it so that people who like more than one genre of game have to shell out even MORE money to be able to play the games they like!

As for your strategy game comment, you've obviously never heard of TBS, which works brilliantly on consoles. That and the majority of RTS games on consoles are ports of PC games, so of course they'd suck, what with being designed with mouse+keyboard in mind. If an RTS was made FOR a console, it might actually NOT suck.

And just to be on topic (as I don't really want to sound like a fanboy); I think every PS3 game would do better on the 360. Broader market you know.

Well, you kind of come off as a fanboy with a statement like that. Why not 360 games on the PS3? And besides, there are some games that are coming that can't be done on the 360 (LBP and MAG to name 2)

There aren't too many games I can think of that haven't been mentioned or wouldn't do better because of a wider market.

Why the fuck they're making console-exclusive FPS-games is just way byond me.

I have an idea:

Microsoft wanted the Xbox to make money, so they released Halo.

Microsoft wanted the Xbox to make more money, so they released Halo 2.

Microsoft wanted the Xbox 360 to make even more money, so they released Halo 3.

I think Sega should pack in the 3D adventure sonic crap and just make decent Sonic sidescrolling platformers for the DS.

...Or just make a good 2D Sonic for the current-gen consoles à la Rayman or Kirby 64 and devote the rest of their resources to actual continuing their other IPs - Panzer Dragoon, Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Nights Into Dreams (a good sequel, please), Shining Force etc. Because as it stands their marketing posture is cynical and insipid - basically "we're going to blackmail the public by not making non-Sonic games until we become a top three developer, but all our Sonic games suck"

Every console at the moment seems to fit a certain type of gaming and gamer, meaning that certain games sell better or work better on some systems than others. What game do you think would do better on other systems.

The first thing that pops to mind for me is Viva Pinata. It would sell so much better on the wii. Though the graphics would have to sacrificed but the player base for the Wii suits it much better than the 360 does. How many blood thirsty teenagers do you know who like Pinatas?

Tales of Vesperia, it should be on PS3.
Only 'cause I don't have a 360 and I contain a fetish for JRPGS.

Well, the arcade one is, but, I hope he plans on getting lost odyssey, eternal sonata, star ocean 3, and infinite undiscovery a playthrough as well because buying a system for one game usually ends in...not good.

If all you're interested in is playing JRPGs, the arcade one is plenty.

And you can actually save money by buying a HDD seperate, if you get a good deal online for one.

They are porting it, but its gonna lose a few things. Its gonna have much worse gameplay, dumber AI, no boss fights, less variable playstyle, less interesting locations, worse visuals and sound, worse online, and a much much worse plot. They're gonna call it Splinter Cell: Conviction.

I lulled.

I'd actually like to see an MGS4 port.

But I won't cry if it never happens.

There's no denying the fact that there are far more potential buyers of 360 games then PS3 games. And like I said, just to be on topic as I really don't want to sound like a fanboy. I don't really see any reasons that my broader market comment should be argued against (aside from being a fanboy).

EDIT: I'm not an idiot Indigo, I know about the controller and hardware differences. Most problems arising from that are solveable even if some nerfing has to be done.

If thats what you were actually saying, what you would have said was that all 360 games should be ported to the Wii.

And I used ""If"?" to denote that there is very little chance of Halo Wars not sucking, seeing as the concept itself seems fundamentally flawed.

Can't argue with sentence one (very much), although software sales per system are abomnably low on the Wii.

As for sentence two, I knew you're intent and I'm telling you that judging the quality of something that doesn't exist in the form you're judging it is a fundamentally flawed activity.

As I said, the game was actively built around the Ps3, and indirectly mocks the 360 on more than one occasion.

I bet if they really fleshed out the cell and creature stages in Spore that Maxis could make a fantastic game for the Wii. They already kind of did this for the DS, and Spore seems to really fit into the idea of the Wii.

It is coming to the Wii, they're making a Wii version ground up, it should be out by next year or 2010.

I'd like to see a Wii version of Dynasty Warriors.

Well, there's Samurai Warriors for the Wii which is made by the same people and the exact same 'cept instead of China it's Japan. Also, they said they were going to make one for the Wii a while ago. Not sure if it came out, or is still in developement.

Also, the most obvious game: Banjo Kazooie 3 should be on the Wii.
