Games to get at Christmas? (Xbox 360)

Well, as Christmas is nearing, I'm trying to decide what games I'd like to ask for at Christmas this year. I usually get one or two games for the Xbox 360 and I definately want Fallout 3 but I can't decide on the other one. COD: World at War? Far Cry 2? Fable 2? Left 4 Dead?

Please tell me which games you have enjoyed recently and help me come to a decision.

PS: It doesn't have to be a game I mentioned above, I'm open to suggestions.

don't bother with fable, its far too short. All the others seem like ok choices but i'd go with left 4 dead as your second option

Oh yeah I forgot about FIFA 09, I had 08 and loved it. And I prefer the term football

You're not going to get much play out of Mirror's Edge, but it's a great ride while it lasts. I can't stop myself from recommending Prince of Persia, even though I won't play it until tomorrow. Do pick up BioShock and Assassin's Creed if you haven't already. Gears of War 2 is another good one, especially if you were a fan of the first. If you like survival horror, you should definitely check out Dead Space. Then there's XBLA: Castle Crashers and Braid are must-haves.

If you're already getting Fallout then you may not want another RPG (Fable) until you complete one, which may be a long time. I personally am not a huge fan of WaW but then I am one of the few that didn't really like CoD4. I would say your best choices would be Left 4 Dead or Gears of War 2. Get Left 4 Dead if you have friends to play it with, if not get Gears.

Left 4 Dead. Definitely L4D. Such a fun game.

Get Mirror's Edge if you don't already have it. If you do I'd go with Fable 2. Presuming you loved the first one, because it's very similar. If you'd rather have a game to play with your friends though (As apparently Fallout 3 is the type of game that will suck your life away, and Fable 2 has that potential as well but for not as long) get L4D.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm planning to ask for the new PoP and a game like fable 2 or Gears 2. Thing is, I'm restricted from buying M games in my house, so I'm not sure. Also: to the person who said Alone in the Dark, fail.

Left4Dead or Mass Effect, perhaps Far Cry 2. It's all about the lasting appeal, especially if you're only getting a couple games.
