Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Left 4 dead, Mirrors Edge, Mass Effect, Fifa 09 (even if you have a slight intrest in *sigh* soccer)
Oh yeah I forgot about FIFA 09, I had 08 and loved it. And I prefer the term football ;)
Yep, hence the sigh =)

The online modes are fantastic.

Well if you don't have Gears2 then get that. Then I loved Far Cry 2. Left 4 dead is a great choice but ONLY if you have some friends to play it with. So basically.

1. Gears 2
2. Far Cry 2
3. Left 4 Dead
4. Fable 2
5. CoD WaW (i highly reccommend not getting this if you have CoD 4 and if you don't GET CoD 4!)

On the arcade I recommend getting Portal Still Alive above all else but if you already have Portal then maybe not. Then Braid if you want single player and Castle Crashers is really fun multiplayer. Mirror's Edge I would say rent. You could probably finish it by the time you need to give it back. There's not much reason to replay it. Also Prince of Persia's came out so check that out to. Hope I helped. :)

Buy a dog, like you know a real one, that is far more entertaining than 70 percent of videogames, (i'm looking at you dark sector...) but if yah want a videogame buy fable 2 it has a doggie in the game itself. (let it be noted though the dog in the game disc isn't nearly as cuddly, and gets scratched easy...)

Mirrors Edge

(I don't see the point of buying Fallout 3 or Left 4 Dead on a console.)
Well I don't know about you, but I for one (as a broke college student with a parttime job and a car payment) don't have wheelbarrow loads of cash to drop on buying and maintaining a gaming rig, therefore, I go with a console. Edit: Sorry, if that sounded a bit nasty. Didn't mean it that way. Where I live there are no computer shops , so I would have to order everything I need to make a gaming rig, and its prohibitively expensive at the current moment, and while consoles do tend to harbor alot of idiots online, its still cheaper for me. Once again, my apologies Harhol. I tend to get uppity about the whole PC vs Console thing, since it seems like every stinking time someone mentions it threads turn into freaking PC is better, no consoles are better clusterfraks.
I would go with L4D, great multiplayer experience if you got friends to play with. Otherwise, difinately get Mass Effect or Burnout Paradise, at 30 bucks US a pop, you can't go wrong.

Careful, you're going to get a bit of flak for that.

Fable 2 is a little short and in all probability you won't pick it up after you've beaten it the first time (that was the case for me, anyway).
I'd recommend L4D if you've got people to play it with.

I wouldn't get L4D on a console before i actually know if VALVe have fixed their "console behavior"... The Orange Box, world best deal, failed on 360 because they couldn't get updates out easily.
Get L4D on PC =D

I personally am not a huge fan of WaW but then I am one of the few that didn't really like CoD4.
I knew I wasn't the only one!

You're my new friend.

One thing about Mirror's Edge towards the middle of the game it can become ridiculously fustrating because the game mechanics begin to break down. Think of it this way Ninja Gaiden allows you to work with the games quirks, where as entire levels in Mirror's Edge seem to be built around the flaws in the game design and Mirror's Edge totally punishes you by crippling you needlessly. Rent that game before you pick it up.

I'd go with Left 4 Dead or Fallout 3 if I were you. Both are damn good games, that you mustn't miss out on.

And no, you shoot better with a mouse than you do with a analog shooter (provided you're used to both) because a mouse doesn't hamper with your aiming skills and an analog stick does.
Same goes for the Left 4 Dead it's better on the PC than on a console. No one can deny that.
I don't really see how you can decide what his preferred way of playing a shooter is. Not everyone is good with the mouse/keyboard way of going at things, some people are actually better with a stick. Yet again I fail to see how you can decide what's best in this case. (Preposterous, I know)
