I think I have played more games. I'm 20 and I have been playing games since I was probably 5. And I don't see movies too often any more because it's $9.50 to go see them.

I play a ton of games. And yet, a game costs $50, takes about 10 hours to complete (Though some will give you thousands of hours), and isn't as accessible in big social situations (Compare getting the chance to watch a movie in school to playing a video game at school)Games are probably a bigger part of my life then movies, but in terms of numbers, I can easily watch 2 movies in a night and be done. Not so with games.

I've been watching movies since the age of three.
Videogames, probably age 14.

If I've read the question correctly*: Games because I only watch horror, action and sci-fi movies/series that are made between 1975 and 1995 with some rare exceptions.

My brain isn't really working at the moment, I've slept maybe 3 hours per day in the last two weeks

I agree with you, i'm also 20 and been playing since i was uber young. I love movies and have quite a collection, but at £12 for a blu-ray or £8 for dvd(average) its really expensive for 3 hours enjoyment tops! Games are more expensive but you get huge amounts more for your money.

I've proberbly spent a considerable amount more time playing games than movies tbh

Probably games. I watch a lot of movies, but overall, games are probably the more important part of my life.

I think movies, because I play games on my own, but movies are something I do with friends.

Here's a more interesting question, and sorry to derail your thread...

If you had to choose one, would you:

- Choose to play only those games based on movies

or

- Choose to only watch movies based on games

Yuck, neither is good, but assuming you have to choose one.

And yeah, I know Dark Athena is meant to be good :p

Well, since I am neither in the Game Design or Film Development areas of work, I would have to say that I have "Done" neither. Now Playing video games as opposed to watching Movies, I would have to go with movies, because movies are a "One Hitter" whereas most games tend to be more involved "Mainline" it only takes around 2 hours to watch a movie and some games can last forever.

So I would definately err on the side of Movies, not that I don't have a lot of games...

Sorry about the drug references, but I just got out of the "Drug Testing in school" Thread...

I would definately, if I had to choose, watch a movie based on a game, because there just haven't been many good games based on movies...whereas Resident Evil was pretty wicked

I probably play more games. I hardly ever watch any movies anymore because I just don't have any desire to.

In terms of time spent, probably games.
In numbers of unique movies/games, movies most likely. I've watched on average 6-9 a year for 15 years whereas I'll typically play the same games over and over again.

I do both far too much. I will often watch 2-3 movies then go spend a few hours on the old 360 most days of the week. I probably watch stargate sg1 more than i play games/watch movies though XD

If I HAD to pick one....It would probably be games based on movies mostly because the majority of movies based on games are just god awful...except for Max Payne, that movie was pretty alright.
