We all want those games to come out, you know the ones that would sell better than any other but the industry insist on making crap instead. Well here's a chance to talk about and share your ideas for what the industry needs to do (especially with sequels). Here's my wish list:

A Sonic game like Sonic 3:
Everything was perfect in that game for me, Sonic 3 with Sonic & Knuckles is the greatest game of all time for me. If Sega did something similar to what Capcom did with Megaman 9 and 10 but with Sonic (specifically 3), I'd be all over it like flies round manure.

Ecco the Dolphin revival:
2.5D please if you're going to give it the modern look. The old Ecco games were fantastic, classics, and there needs to be some more of that IP now.

Jak & Daxter revival but like the old ones:
Open world go-around-collecting-stuff-whilst-discovering-a-beautiful-and-mysterious-world brilliance. Guns? No way. Jak being all Christian Bale? Get out.

The ultimate Pokemon game:
Span all regions, require you to gain all the gym badges in all regions with enhancements to the level system so that you can get through it all without having a team of level 100's by region 3 nuking every wild Ralts and Zigzagoon you come across. The potentially most epic adventure Nintendo had ever churned out first party within one of their most recognised worlds. It'd sell the Wii U.

Need for Speed Underground 3:
Underground 2 was a classic, and even though that culture isn't as prominent nowadays in the media as it was then, it's still something that should happen (assuming they just do a newer version of Underground 2 and not make it all crappy like Most Wanted was).
Actually, now I think about it, probably better off leaving NFSU alone. DLC and season passes and all that crap from EA would ruin it all. Cheers EA, you assholes.

Got any games of your own? Share!

A Half life 2 ep 3 or HL 3 that will live up to the hype.
An Assasin's creed game not set in the 18th century.
A Final Fantasy game with characters and story I would enjoy.
A Warcraft RTS.
Kotor 3.

The Last Guardian.

One of the reasons I bought a PS3.

I'm still waiting for a Japanese businessman to show up at my door and laugh in my face.

Uggh!
I'm still scarred from Tides of Time..
My childhood, traumatic cause I never found out what happened to that dolphin...
Also those Machine levels were literally hell.

I would like to add:
- Mother 3 outside of Japan.
- Kotor 3
- System Shock 3
- A new Castlevania (either Metroidvania or Classic)
- New Elite Beat Agents
- New Advance Wars
- Ace Attorney Investigations 2

What do you mean? He showed up at my door. He kicked me in my manly bits then hit me with The Last Guardian concept art over and over.
Anyhow.
The mentioned above game as well as:

- Dante's Purgatorio

Yeah, Inferno wasn't great but it really wasn't that bad, I liked it. Personally I would have liked to see the levels of Purgatory in game form. Probably not the best idea in gaming concepts but hey, I would have played it.

- Mirror's Edge 2
This one *is* coming though. Slowly. It's reaching it's hand out of development Hell I feel but not exactly atuned to the sun's bright light yet. Because we got the trailer last E3, then nothing, then a dev video this E3 and they're probably just going to let that hold us over until next E3 where we'll get a gameplay demo or something. My response to anyone asking about is "It's coming? *shrugs* I think"

- Prey 2
What the heck happened? It was moving at a pretty good pace and then it just... stopped. I haven't kept up very much but I heard it changed hands a whole bunch and now nobody knows where they put it. I still think we'll see it one day but whenever that day is, I have no idea.

This.

Although I like classic Advanced Wars. I remember Dual Strike with that unit levelling system and it changed the way planes worked and I just started losing interest in it there.

And yeah, classic Castlevania like 4 was. defo.

- Knights of the Old Republic 3
The only game I've played that let's you be a jedi and not be forced to use a lightsaber. Add to that the setting is my favorite time period in the Star Wars universe makes me want it all the more.

- A monster fighting game
I loved Godzilla: Save the Earth and War of the Monsters. Amazing games from my childhood. The whole Kaiju fighting genre seems to be dead. Sure Kaiju Combat is a thing, but I want a big triple A release with shiny graphics.

- Supreme Commander 3
Make it like the first one damnit!

- Warcraft 4
Three was one of my first RTSs, I want some more damnit!

The ultimate Pokemon game with the nervegear technology from Sword Art Online. I wouldn't even mind being trapped against my will in it.

Quake 5 or Unreal Tournament 2014
It's time for competitive gamers that dedicate parts of their lives to the games to be top of the food chain again. No excuse why CoD and other newer shooters took away the rights of better skilled players to dominate the lesser skilled using matchmaking systems. In fact, matchmaking systems that are skilled based should be banned.

de Blob 3: One of the few games not picked up when THQ went belly up, so its unlikely that there will ever be a sequel.

Bulletstorm 2: Because EA are idiots. Which brings us to...

Dead Space 4: Not likely to happen as I don't think Dead Space 3 sold as many as EA wanted it to. Mind you, they kinda shot Dead Space 3 in the legs before it even left the gate. As much as I would love a return to the series roots. Going by the last game, it would probably be Isaac Clark in a poor lit cat sanctuary for 20 hours trying to avoid being scratched. Actually now I think about it, that might actually be better than the last game.

Beyond Good and Evil 2: Yeah, its coming, its coming. But all we have is a bit of concept art and a non gameplay trailer from 6 years ago. Give me a new trailer and a release date and I might believe that its going to happen. Hell, it might actually be the game that convinces me to buy a PS4.

Dawn of War 3 and Space Marine 2 are both things that will probably never come out... And the world is poorer for it. Because a fully realised and made Warhammer 40k would be the tits.

Half Life 3 and KOTOR 3 have already been mentioned, but they can have another vote from me.

Dungeon Keeper 3. The first two were fantastic, its a shame all we've had since then is that mobile abomination.
Baldur's Gate 3. The franchise that got me hooked on RPGs.

Just noticed all of those are #3. I guess if those franchises had started in 2010 we'd already be on the 7th game and we'd be bored with them ...

System Shock 3 for reasons beyond obvious (especially the horrid mess concerning the rights to this franchise)

The entire Legend of Heroes brought to western audiences: this one is simply incredibly hard to do for technical and financial reasons, TitS took way more than predicted and that's just the technical stuff, the script to every single game in the series is simply HUGE

(on that note, Gideon Zhi ever finishing that SRW Alpha and RS3).

A next-gen, or even current-gen graphics Tyrian game. 3D Shooters can look awesome, if the core gameplay wre to be left intact, Tyrian 3 would simply dominate everything as it did back then. Tight controls, huge variety in levels, truckloads of guns to buy and upgrade...

A new old-school FPS game. I mean, Wrack is a thing but it falls really short in many areas, I want my mute sanic hero with huge guts and more ordnance than he should be able to carry. Hell, I'd even settle for the Unreal 1 styled game - something that's big and heavily atmospheric, but not a "cinematic experience". Here's hoping that the new Doom will deliver.

A new offline Phantasy Star helmed by Rieko Kodama. Oh fuck: just a RPG helmed by Rieko Kodama, preferably one that doesn't act as a stealth add for vocaloid, but at this point, I'd even be willing to pay full price for a localized 7th Dragon

A home-console Zelda where Nintendo doesn't passive aggressively bends itself over backward to give the never-happy internet Commentariat what it claims it wants: last time, they gave us a crimson Pelican-Albatross (Pelitross? Albalican?) whose existence only rubbed salt on the fact that the had completely removed the overworld in response to the people complaining about the the outside regions being supposedly too large and empty in Twilight Princess: this time, they've already admitted trying to make the world more "skyrimesque" because (what a surprise) people complained about the lack of overworld in Skyward Sword. I don't want to waste hours exploring 267 procedurally generated caverns just because one of them may contain an important item or piece of equipment T_T.

Would people please stop toying with the idea that Nintendo should nuke civilization [http://www.dorkly.com/post/52546/be-careful-what-you-wish-for] just to show they can?

A Final Fantasy game with characters and story I would enjoy.

A Final Fantasy game enjoyable characters and story which does not involve replaying the same groundhog day over and over and over... [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bravely_Default]

Seconded: also: limo-stealing deadbeat cop breaking a military blockade and shacking off a pair of pursuing rocket-launcher-mounted tanks [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8K-PHc24Ps]? I want to know what series of events led to that scene, even if I have to endure two more incestuous-romance-themed games to get there.

Knights of the Old Republic 3: Some could argue that The Old Republic was the continuation of the franchise, and they would probably be right, but a dedicated KOTOR game that isn't an MMO is exactly what I want.

Republic Commando 2: WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO SEV, DAMMIT?! Also, I do like squad-based tactical shooters. I can imagine it being super fun with some kind of co-op.

Dawn of War 3: The Warhammer license has been bouncing all over the place after THQ went bust, all that Games Workshop needs to do is license it back to Relic, and watch the good games ensue.

Bad Company 3: A Battlefield game with a soul? NO WAY!

Man, has everyone forgotten Beyond Good and Evil 2?

While we're at it, a new Mario game that changes things on the order of Galaxy wouldn't go amiss.

Beat me to it.

I'm a pretty huge fan of Team ICO's games, and I still hope for the game to come out at this point. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's never going to come out. :/

A superhero action-RPG with controls along the lines of Prototype or Infamous or something similar.

Character creation, nice choice of power sets*, wide variety of different builds, open world and a fairly open ended story. Would be my ideal game right now :D

*[small]Including a telekinesis power that's more than just lift and bloody throw! Something along the lines of the TK in Destroy All Humans, Psi-Ops or Force Unleashed. Oh and real unaided flight would have to be in there, too. More games need that, it's always a joy when you can do it.[/small]

(and yes I know some things I'm saying have already been mentioned).

A Psi-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy sequel. This game was so bad-ass and so much fun, and it ended on a total cliffhanger that just begged for a sequel, but unfortunately I don't think it's ever going to happen.

Homeworld 3. Bring back The Beast!

I'd actually like a complete Legacy of Kain restart instead of another sequel.

Another Warcraft RTS.

A Dante's Inferno sequel.

Dawn of War 3, if they combined the base-building/RTS elements of the first one with the better cover mechanics and hero customization options of the 2nd, the game would be incredible.
