Games! What do they mean to you?
Games mean an escape from the reality of despair that I endure daily. It's the place where I can openly talk about life's problems with friends who have the same issues. The exploration of a new universe that is not in our own. The collaboration of many people's ideas into a riveting tale that sucks you into pt and never let's go. So What is your opinion on it?

They give me something to do.

I don't really think that much into it unless it's a particularly great game.

In that case, yes, they mean a lot to me and are a source for inspiration in my life, but the same can be said about any great thing in any medium.

But, as a generalization, games to me are just a form of entertainment.

Games are what I use to whittle away the time between coming home and going to sleep.

Temporary entertainment and a way for me to keep in touch with people I can't go outside and meet up with...
IE my friend in New Jersey or the UK...

Games are a passion, and a hope for the future.
And they're also a damn fun hobby.

They allow for telling of stories that couldn't be told in other media. Stories that the viewer could change themselves.

A way that I can imagine I'm somewhere else that's better. Nothing relieves stress like sniping Legion members from a mile away.

Games mean a lot of different things to me. They're a huge, sentimentally important aspect of my childhood, the same way my favourite superhero or my favourite toy was. They're great, fun experiences that keep me engrossed and on the edge of my seat, as much if not more so than a TV show or movie.

They're also an incredible and potent means of shaping storytelling and crafting atmospheric experiences that really inspire me artistically, and have motivated me to pursue my love of media into university, and pursue a creative career.

That's the beauty of games. As with any form of art, they can be enjoyed on a wide variety of levels. ^ ^

What is he saying????

OT: To vent, explore new and interesting worlds, and to have a hobby, gaming is just what I've been doing since I first got a GBA back in 2002.

Ever since then, it's sort of been what I know, and what I'm best at.
I want to see what this medium can do to elevate itself above mediocrity, and to explore experiences that we can't now.

There was a time when PC gaming went a long way to helping define my life, but that has since changed. Now I mostly play flash games because they're generally quick and internally consistent.
