I always thought the battlefront 2 sniping was fun, depending on the planet, with all the toys you got to play with while you did it.
That.theComposer said:Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has excellent sniping. The maps are large enough that bullet drop can play a factor and you have to lead moving targets. While this makes it difficult, once you line up the shot and hit your mark, it's by far the most satisfying sniping experience in gaming (that I've played).
Nothing quite like waiting out slow-motion than by reloading a crossbow just in time to miss out on itAylaine said:Sniping in Killing Floor is pretty fun. Granted, if it's with anything other then the Crossbow, it can be a bit ehh.![]()
Another person that values realism in a game, excellent. I enjoy actually having to do the math before taking the shot, and utilizing a spotter just adds to the enjoyment.AmrasCalmacil said:Operation Flashpoint, Arma, Arma2.
Stuff like that.
Very satisfying to put a bullet through a high value target at long range, after perfectly judging the drop, and even the windage, and enjoy the fact that his comrades are having a long, difficult game of trying to guess where the hell it came from.
I'm beginning to notice a decrease in people playing the Recon class, at least in BFBC2. Most people play medic now, actually.IBlackKiteI said:The only bad thing about Bad Company's sniping is the fact there are so many snipers, and the friggin 50.cal.
Practically any game with sniping has fun sniping I guess.
Theres just degrees of how well its done.
I was recently in a long and drawn out sniper fight on BC2. I was on the map Heavy Metal (one of the new ones) and i was halfway up one of the mountains. The other guy was behind a log a fair way away, right next to his last base, and we were trading sniper shots for a good 15 minutes. He relocated to the mountain opposite the canyon and we resumed. Eventually people at the base of my mountain started taking pot shots at me, and I paused to deal with them, only to recieve a headshot from my adversary who would've had to aim (and I know this because a couple of mine landed right next to his head) about 4 and a half to 5 notches above my head. Even though I died, it had to be one of my greatest gaming experiences.Polaris19 said:Ever been in a sniper fight on Bad Company 2?
That is unparalleled fun. Especially on Arica Harbor. Ducking between buildines and hills, trading sniper shots, trying to catch your opponent when he makes a mistake. Having to account for distance. It's just, sheer joy.
