You go from working for one group of lying schemers to working for another group of lying schemers.

Pre-2013 Tomb Raider:

Lara Croft is not a good person. She murders people who don't give her what she wants. She slaughters endangered critters on a whim. Her concern for others extends only as far as her own self-interest.

Legacy of Kain - you play as a self-serving monster who basically brings down Armageddon because he felt like it, and a clueless, revenge-driven moron who helps a soul-devouring lovecraftian abomination.

Edit: Hostile Waters might also count, depending on how you feel about their, uh, utopia, but it's less "puppy-kicking evil" and more "do your duty for your actually kinda horrific government and stop the Apocalypse while you're at it".

Except neither were evil. Just brash and ignorant youngsters. And Kain's reasoning for what he did at the end of Blood Omen are far from evil.

But you know that because it seems like you have played the whole series.


My vote. God of War. You don't get any worse than Kratos when it comes to evil main characters.

Hatred is a violent game where your extra evil, killing families, blowing stuff up, kill (maybe teens) people at parties, and blowing up the city with a nuclear reactor. just the gameplay isnt the best, actually it sucks, the atsmosphere is okay but the top down side view sucks but other than that it is an okay game.
