Have you ever played a game which has every brought out an emotion in you? Anger, Sadness, etc?

What game was it on, and how did it make you feel afterwards? I've noticed that an occurance in a game can affect someones mood for the entire day, and im curious to find out how many games can have that impact on people. Of course, this is psychological stuff here so it could differ from person to person.

This is an example using Final Fantasy: Crisis Core (ending spoiler)

Example: Final Fantasy: Crisis Core. When Zach dies at the end (no thats not a spoiler because the first time you encounter him in FF7 he's just about to clock it anyway), despite the fact everyone knew he was going to die, which would set in motion the events from FF7, his final death scene did bring out a lot of emotion in most people. All of it was cleverly worked, from the beginning of the battle with Zach being overwhelmed, to several hours later when he was exhausted and a pile of bodies was littered around him. Attempting to fight off the seemingly infinite number of soldiers as his DMV begins to deteriorate and all he's left with is a picture of Aeris (or Aerith depending on region), in his mind as he collapses, and is then shot multiple times. In this case, it was more HOW zach went down, than the fact that he did, but i still feel that this is a good example.

Another example would be the flash game, one chance. As the title indicates, you only get one chance to play the game. Upon completion, the game saves a small 100kb file to your computer which prevents you from reloading it, although there are several ways to prevent this.
One chance is a game which someone pointed out to me on a previous thread, which really did affect me quite a lot. The story is simple, your a scientist who is married and has a daughter, and you just found the cure for cancer. What you didnt know was that the cure spawned pathogens which kill living cells, giving the earth 6 days until all life is wiped out. You have 6 days to do more or less whatever you want, but things tend to have bad consequences. Some of the things that happened shook me to my very core, and that in itself deserved a merit because very little affects me like that.

So, with all this in mind, what happened in a game which affected you? If you're going to reveal something, make sure to use
content[ /spoiler]!!!

Huh, will have to check out that One Chance game.

As for emotion in games?
Fear:
Creep little girl in a red dress...shudder...

Nighttime...

The whole damn game.

Sadness:
The kids get taken from the lighthouse while that really sad music plays in the background.

After Eli is killed.

Anger:
Playing any Pacific campaign level on veteran.

Multiplayer match with sucky teammates...happens all the damn time.
Whats the point of a team focused game if everyones an asshole?

Multiplayer matches in general, even when your winning. Something about that game just pisses me off.

Sadness and yet, beauty...

When Mon-Mon calls out for Sayori, trying to bring her back from the future to be with him...

Disgust

Several times, in the same game, when Mon-Mon is showing how perverted he is. Like spying on you in the bath (with the guy who raised you, yet no less. Ugh.) Clarification- they are both spying, one is not in the bath with you.

Heartwarming feeling

Yo-Jin-Bo (same game as the above 2 examples) When you choose to be with Ittosai, you really turn his life around, making him quite different from how he was. This left me feeling a warm glow in my chest.

Please don't use the word "true". An emotion isn't fake just because it isn't strong.

Anyway, Super Metroid. I couldn't have wanted to kill Mother Brain more.

Anger:
WoW having your raid kill off Illidan permanently.
Yay we beat Illidan! Woot! What are the loot drops?
He's going to pull a Kael and crawl off or something like that....right....right?!
Why isn't Illidan moving?
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. That game made me cry like no other game has. The whole ending was...wow. Not even going to type what happened in a spoiler box; if you've played it, you know what I'm talking about; if not, either play it, or look it up on the web.

Consider everything past Frozen Throne non-canon. You'll start feeling better about the Warcraft universe instantaneously.
You mean pre Frozen Throne? Cause throwing out cataclysm is a pretty lulzy notion.
And yes I do agree, the butchering off so many characters makes me cry at night, if only I could wipe them from my mind and jump back into wow without knowing any of the past.

For sadness, the end of Silent Hill 2 always gets me, especially the In Water ending.

Metal Gear Solid 3 had a sad ending too.

As for fear, Fatal Frame does it best.

And anger...Dead Rising takes the cake, I think.

Mary's letter - possible spoilers.

No more heroes 2 most recently.

Kingdom Hearts is also worth mentioning.
But to be honest, most games give me something emotional.

Yeah, more than a few I could spend all day talking about what did and why but I'm tired so here's the short list

Okami
MGS - all of them
Final Fantasy - multiple
Grandia 2
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Shadow of the Colossus
Persona - 3 & 4
Red Dead Revolver
Dragon Age: Origins
Fallout: New Vegas
Any number of visual novels

and many more, I tend to get emotionally invested in games, their stories, their charachters, their worlds, even their music, everything and anything can trigger a response, oddly enough I often don't feel anything much at the time but when I stop and think back it hits me like a ton of bricks.

Twilight princess also diserves mention when Midna got hurt real bad and you had to take her to Zelda.

Anger: the Castlevania N64 game part in the gear section carrying something that exploded if you got hit.... took ... me 4ever! Like days of trying over and over.

Sadness: the infamous scene from Final Fantasy 7 first time I played a game when a key character died in the middle of the game. My jaw dropped when it happened.

Joy: Playing Uncharted 2. Every moment was pure happiness can not wait until the 3rd release.

Frustration: How utterly short Force Unleashed 2 was. It might as well been a dlc addon for the first game.I beat it one weekend both endings and felt ripped off. Really $60 for this... REALLY?
