Alpha Protocol, yet I was one of few to genuinely enjoy the game but looking back I can't think why.
I enjoyed it too, but the AI as soon as you where spotted everybody knew exectly where you are.

As someone experimenting with making AI for a turn-based strategy at the moment, I'd have to say I suddenly have a lot more sympathy for developers who've been lazy with their AI. Not that I intend to cut it short and leave it terrible, but I don't want to make it too hard either!

Got to stop it looking completely daft though - it used to do a thing of moving units back and forth over the same two squares that I've managed to eliminate finally.

I too have no idea what happened with the bot AI in L4D2. It was fine in L4D but it turned to shit in 2.

I found the AI to be particularly crap in Borderlands. Those Raiders....gah. One of the reasons I barely play it, the endless stream of dumb Raiders.
The bot AI in the first one wasn't even all that great, but they were practically glued to your ass and were there in an instant to help you up. In L4D2, they're like halfway across the level while you're getting eaten alive, bastards.

The worst AI I can remember is that dumb chick sidekick from Resident Evil 5. Holy crap. Had to take all of the guns and healers away from her and give her all of my bullets so she wouldn't screw things up.

I'm torn between Alpha Protocol and Mass Effect.

On one hand, you have an enemy AI so stupid, they will shoot randomly into walls trying to hit you or they will walk the same path for the fifth time and fail to notice me standing right next to the doorway they just walked past.

On the other, you got friendly AI whos major job it seems is to suck and die as they absorb bullets and refuse to take cover unless you order them to somewhere inparticular.

Medieval Total War II had some seriously unresponsive battle AI - the enemy just stood in a fairly impractical battle formation and let themselves get shot. And the friendly AI - Oh God, so many suicide cavalry charges into spearmen. Usually by the general himself.
Not to mention all the times i have watched my knights stop charging meters away from the enemy to raise and lower their lances for no apparent reason. God that annoys me.
