Really? You people are going to ***** about being given free games now? It's fucking free!!!!

I don't have copies laying around of any of those titles, and even if I did I'd download them anyway. They're fucking free.
Totally free. Yep. Except for the part where you have to subscribe to the service to receive them - i.e. pay.
You mean the service I was going to pay for anyway, and as a paying customer am very satisfied with?

Yeah I'm totally getting fleeced, bro.
I've never understood how someone can be satisfied to pay to access the multiplayer for the game they already bought. It blows my mind.
Also, Halo 3 and Fable 3 are really, really, really, REALLY bad games. Seriously. AC2's alright, though.

GoG gives you better freebies, and they're ACTUALLY free.
Seriously: Ultima 4. Nuff said.

Yes, because I obviously want a ten dollar tower defense game over something of value, like, I don't know, an actual frigging Game? Like the ones you promised, Micro$oft?

Give me a second for I need to pick my jaw off of the floor with this banquet of generosity on Microsoft's part for giving us free games that came out in 2010, 2009, and 2007 respectively
Would you expect them to give you new games?

Halo 3 and Fable 3 are far from terrible. Just not mindblowingly good.

Not even vaguely good. They're bad games, horrible and dream crushing you happened to have had a major background and attachment in the series.

Not sure if...

No I'm fairly certain they are competent if forgetable games.

Have you ever played a Halo or Fable before or are your standards just horrifyingly low?

Did we play the same games? Cause I recalling playing them and they were both ok.

I remember Fable 3 being painfully boring and I remember the multiplayer for Halo 3 being alright (games with custom maps were great, though). Now, the campaign for Halo 3 was just plain terrible. They axed most of what Halo 2 set up and the whole thing was an anti climax and not what anyone was expecting. Finish the fight? More like Cortana Quest.

Yeah okay dude. People buy Xbox Gold for 1st week demos then? For the internet explorer?

It's either for multiplayer and/or video content streaming.

Jesus I wish I could feel that entitled to free shit that I could complain about it! "Fucking Microsoft! They should be giving us Batman: Arkham Origins free!"
Not everyone regularly plays MP games on the 360 to make it worth it $60 a year, especially if they don't like console shooters.

For me it was the regular sales of XBLA games that was the main reason I subbed apart from playing Darksouls and the odd game of Forza & some niche title that would quickly die off.

When the XBLA sales were replaced with bland AAA DLC I stopped subbing.

If I get the itch to play MP I can play my PC, but some nice freebies might have been enough to entice me to resub.

Polite necro to reflect how Games with Gold has panned out.

So far the games have been:

Fable 3. Didn't care then, don't care now. My girlfriend enjoyed it for a few days though.

Defense Grid: Microsoft really couldn't have chosen a more underwhelming game to follow up with. Don't get me wrong, as an actual game it's simple but mostly enjoyable and I still return to it every now and again. But if Microsoft are trying to go head to head with PlayStation +, they really need to up the ante.

Assassin's Creed 2: Can't grumble, this is a good game. Ironically I was playing the physical retail version just before it appeared for free.

Crackdown: Oh, I see how it is - we're having a pattern of one AAA-game alternated with an arcade or classic game.

I'm looking forward to Dead Rising 2 on the 16th of this month. There's still no sight of the promised Halo 3 - I already have it, but I'd play it again if the online population spiked for a bit after it appeared for free.

Overall I feel Microsoft need to work MUCH harder to avoid consistently looking bad when compared to PlayStation Plus, but free is free, I guess.
