Games with only male characters.

Hello,

So my dear friends, today i was thinking about what are the games that has only male characters. Like, no female characters at all, under any circumstances, not even as an NPC.

only 2 games come to my mind are STALKER and Riddick butcher bay. like these games has not a single female characters in game. only all male characters. please dont take this thread negative. this thread is not hatred towards female characters in games. we are just discussing about games that has all male characters.

Can you suggest or name me more? lets discuss

Nothing really comes to mind (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC probably would've done, as that always felt like an odd detail of the world, which made it that little bit more boring[footnote]Note: I still mostly loved the game, and its negatives were more fundamental than genders of NPC's.[/footnote]).

But can I ask what the point of the thread is? You say "discuss", but discuss what - referencing things? There's no discussion in that, something either conforms or it doesn't.

I'm sure the first Age of Empires didn't even have female villagers.

Also Half-Life? I think every guard was the same and they had maybe 3 different scientists, all guys if I'm remembering right.

You still didn't answer my question, though, regarding what on Earth we're supposed to "discuss". Or is that it? Some games had zero female characters and would be torn apart by feminists, even though that's not true?

Though a game presenting a world minus one gender will always be a bit daft (for very obvious reasons), unless the story justifies it.

Metro 2033 had female NPCs all over the place dude. Some of them even had voice lines.

That game sucked. The feminists completely ruined it.

Okay, I'm not sure what there is to discuss exactly - games with only male characters. That's hardly unusual. Finding a game with only female characters would be an actual challenge.

But fine, off the top of my head (it's a long list)

-Every Doom game prior to Doom 64 (if you include the Mother Demon, otherwise we have to wait until Doom 3)

That list gets even longer if you take away female characters that only exist to be saved (e.g. Mario, the first Crash Bandicoot, etc.)

So, what to discuss? Um, that female characters have traditionally been under-represented in games? I certainly agree there, but having gone over a list of medias I'm familiar with, the trend does seem to be getting better. I don't believe in enforcing quotas, but, well, I can't deny that a lot of these games listed are/were sausage fests.

Modern Warfare had that female helicopter gunship pilot. She gets shot down and you have to rescue her.

Admittedly I haven't played Half-Life, but I'm not sure if they could be called "characters." A character usually requires some level of characterization/identity. If they do count as characters, then Counter-Strike would have to be removed from the list as well.

One can have a "Create-A-Pro" female character in the EA NHL games going back to the 2014 one or so. IIRC in the 2014 edition when they added it, the 360 version had a bug forcing your character to be female lol.

Not having female characters wasn't why the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games were great, in my opinion. On the other hand, I didn't really miss them, either.
