Anybody know of any games with realistic gunfights? Preferably modern ones (no not CoD 4 and its regeneration abilities). I'm talking Soldier of Fortune style games but, more recent?

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and ArmA II. Both games can get very tedious if you're only into the COD style of game play, but it's a godsend to those who like the idea of one hit kills being the norm, and not running around like Rambo.

EDIT: Bit of a clarification.

Isn't it such a rotten feeling? Seriously though, I thought I'd be ninja'd by the time I finished writing my suggestions.

OT: A little opinion on both games I suggested. Personally, I found Operation Flashpoint to be more polished, and it ran much better on my mediocre card (8500GT OC), than ArmA.

For all the talk about one-hit kills in Flashpoint, I was disappointed to see that it really only seems to apply to you. I can tag somebody enough to kill them 5 times over if it was CoD, and enemies can always seem to put me down with a pistol hit.

Also, the game's advertising is misleading. Yes you CAN explore the entire island, but it's NOT a free-roaming game, and mission objectives frequently have time limits which you can't see.

Rainbow 6. I think its called Vegas 2 or something along those lines
The original ones maybe. Vegas and Vegas 2 are a hellovalot like CoD.

The original Ghost Recons.

Yes, you do have a point about the enemy. That did start to bother me. I just chalked it up to me being a pathetic shot, and hitting them in non fatal areas.

Also, I didn't see the advertising. I just heard "realistic, First Person, tactical shooter", and I was sold.

also, in operation flashpoint (which is what i was talking about) the enemies usually take a few shots for me to kill for some reason. and the sniper i just plain horrible
