With having a twin, most of my games are splitscreen. Halo: Reach and Black Ops were great as the second player didn't feel tacked on. It's the same with Borderlands. Hell, Gears of War GAVE you an achievment for playing as player 2. The best is, by far, Nightfire though. Gosh, i spent most of my childhood on that game. Also the Star Wars Battlefront games were great fun on splitscreen. It's nice when a game has a splitscreen campaign, Splinter Cell Conviction. Or when a game is JUST offline, like Shank.

Well, Star Wars Battlefront 2 for starters.

Also, MW2 has a great splitscreen mode, it offers the same as online, but you can always ask your mates to not use certain perks. Provided your friends aren't dicks, they'll probably all agree.

Whenever my freinds are over we always either play a call of duty game, halo, or medal of honor. They are all really fun for splitscreen. When it is just me and one other guy or we are switching off UT3, Gears of War 2, both are a lot of fun. Hey, for every person their own.

Nightfire was so much fun. I remember always dieing to the odd-job hat though....

My problem was that i could never use Odd-Job's hat. I usually when for the more explosive weapons. Like the Sentinel

Timesplitters: Future perfect,
The Halo series
and the older Tony Hawk games,
I don't know what happened to that series it was good right up till American Wastland and then poof the magic had gone.

im going to go with halos purely because co-op was so good, and then so were deathmatchy type things.... rainbow six vegas has kinda replaced it now though seen as how im down an xbox and up a ps3.
but also, Gran Turismo has always provided me and friends with a lot of fun (NEW ONE ON WEDNESDAY! slightly stoked for that btw)

Time Splitters: Future Perfect

There is no other game. The best FPS of all time can not be conquered.

Long live Cortez! It's time to split!

Nothing since has anything on Timesplitters.

James Bond: Nightfire ate up a great half of my childhood, playing with my brother against bots with only snipers, mines etc.

Also, I probably beat that game about 10 times

EDIT: I was thinking of Agent Under Fire, actually.

I love throwing Oddjobs hat at Snipers from across the map. They see the person throw it, then it disappears then you see a giant hat come into your scope, then your dead. Scared the shit outta me one time.

Nightfire was great, it was my first game on the Gamecube.
Goldeneye rogue agent was also great for splitscreen.
Also Mario Kart and MArio PArty 1,2 and 3.

I'm surprised nobody noticed this thread being Necroe'd lol.

OT: I dont know what it is about James Bond games, but they always seem to have epic split screen multiplayer. Goldeneye was classic, and Nightfire had one of the most rediculously customizeable multiplayer components of any game. Not to mention Nightfire had an INSANE amount of weapons.

You could use:
A hat that was instant death
A laser that exploded
A crossbow
A Heat sensing Assault Rifle/grenade launcher
A remote controlled hellicopter with guided missles
And a missle launcher that you could fire, and then guide it all the way across the map

All in one weapon set

Only problem I had was that if you got stuck on the MI6 team, one person got to be bond, and then everyone else had to be a chick, whereas the bad guys team had over a hundred different characters you could choose from.

James Bond: Nightfire.

It was seriously the greatest splitscreen, without a doubt!
god dammit you beat me to it!

last week i donwloaded the pc version to try out (thiking the multiplayer was the same) i was saddly mistaken... i dont have the ps2 version as i borrowed it off a friend years ago and i really really want to go on it again... was just fantastic! odd jobs hat ftw =p
The multiplayer is different?! AGH! i sold my ps2 years ago and was thinking of getting it for pc but oh:( bummer. i wonder how mmuch ps2's are nowadays, theres some games i really wanna play again. and uh, thats top of the list!
ive looked into a ps2 emulator for pc... but again i need a copy of nightfire... yeah pc mp is different, no vehicles, and the 2 best maps not on there (revine and skyline i think they were called)
i whittled away days upon nightfire, such simplicity with bots on splitscreen but sooo effective. nightfire for the win!
