Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Found it at a boot fair (garage sale for you yanks) when I was about 10 and have played it ever since. Lost the box and manual though, although I bought the expansion pack off of Amazon recently, and now enjoy playing as the pirates (The aliens are a bit unbalanced though).
