Games you are ashamed to say you love...

I very recently was forced by my friend, who had browsed my entire collection of 360 games including many great titles, to play Topspin 2. As one of the first games I ever got for my 360 (back when I was like 13 or 14) I thought we would get bored of it within minutes.

Alas, I found myself realising how much I loved playing this game after we played for almost an hour.

After putting the controller down my enjoyment quickly turned into self hatred as I thought of all the new release games such as Dead Rising 2 and Fallout: New Vegas that I had been neglecting...to play a glorified game of Pong.

So my question is this. Are there any games that you own that you love but hate admitting to people that you do? Because you can be sure as hell that as soon as I finished playing Topspin I refused to admit enjoying it...

Does Raplay count?

In all sereousness there are no games I'm ashamed of loving, then again I am a pretty shamless person.

Yin-Yang! X-Change Alternative...[/joke]
Ummm... perhaps...
Actually, no other names come to mind.
Maybe Lemmings.
Except I borrowed that years ago from a friend, and still haven't returned it >.>

I get some funny looks when I start gushing about the Way of the Samurai series and maybe I should be ashamed but I'm not!

Hogs of War is another one that I used to play to death as a kid. Then when I had friends over and they asked what I'd been playing I'd always be like 'Oh yea, I've been rocking some serious GTA. They rarely fell for it.

Is that a mix of replays of dating scenes while listening to rap?
Ha that made me chuckle a bit of course I meant Rapelay though just in case you weren't correcting my spelling:

Pretty much any game that is bashed on here for being "Mainstream" well... Almost, I'm not ashamed of it though some of the people here (among many other sites) make you feel like you should be. I like the CoD series, not my favourite series but I like them, I like the Gears of War series and the halo series... many other series that are often knocked on here (from the users not the people who run the site) for being "Mainstream".

Otherwise, not really. I'll play any game that I find fun regardless of others opinions. Though it does get tedious, reading down the pages and being told that your not a real gamer because you like a game that's popular.

On topic...you'd think I'd have several, considering one of my favored genres, but I'm actually quite beyond shame for most of them. <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.148564-Neutral-Drow-reviews-Little-My-Maid>Little My Maid probably comes closest, but there's a chunk of the game I despised, too.

Well, actually, I bought The Sagara Family in anticipation of it being a guilty pleasure, so I'll preemptively say it counts. As long as it's not as boring as Do You Like Horny Bunnies? 2.

If I wanted to throw the original Xchange through a wall, would that game be worth playing at all?

Indeed, only rap could make this game any worse. :D
I actually did like it though I can certainly understand why others wouldn't, guess I'm just weird that way.

As I said no shame!

Edit: though rap would definitely ruin it XD

I don't know. I found Rapelay very shoddily made. I mean, there were bugs all over the place.

To be honest, yes.
The first game, much to my horror, was nothing but a constant visual assault. The pictures were not that well drawn, and it was mostly porn.
So not the kinda "game" I like. Worst first VN ever >.>
However, Yin-Yang is actually pretty well drawn. A hell of a lot better than the first X-Change game.
And there is a ton less porn. It focuses more on actually making the story better. The story managed to make me cry in the first few minutes >.>
It cuts out a lot of the crap, and made it into something a lot better.
Also, on the J-list page for it, there is a demo movie available for download, if you want to check it out. I haven't seen it, myself.
