Ocarina of Time.

I played it 5-7 years after it's release when people started to cry golden tears and sacrifice a bowl of fruit every time the title was mentioned. With all it's followers I played through it in the Zelda Collector's Edition on the GameCube and found it to be not ery enjoyable. Twilight Princess was way better.

And though I try it every six month, T just can't get excited about Morrowind. Don't know what it is, maybe I'm simply not compatible with completely open worlds. Oblivion made it easier for me to get into the world, so I spent more than 120 hours in it.

My first Resident Evil game was number four, which was in every way awesome, then I picked up five and it was pretty damn inferior, same deal with World at War. Also, every Final Fantasy game on the Ps2.

I bought BioShock because of the hype, without really wanting it all that much... can't say I didn't like it because I have yet to take it out of the cellophane wrapper.

Final Fantasy 7, 10
all three halos
WoW

Thats about it really. Most games get the popularity that they've earned.

I know what you mean in Resident Evil 4 there were at least 2 scary or startling parts in the game but in RE5 the game went by too quick and there was absolutely nothing scary about it. RE5 was intense sometimes but it was only a slight improvement in gameplay with the quicktime inventory. RE4 minus ashley and the start menu inventory was wayyy better than RE5

Halo 3 nuff said. Nothing inovating just same old stuff. H2 was the best out of the series not the single player story though

Valkyrie Profile is a rare find though (much like the original Persona) so if you have it, keep it. Honestly, keep it. I admit playing it through four months ago, I found it frustrating and hard to get into, but at least I 'own' it. also just about any atlas game, like "Odin Sphere".. get it because they always make small runs of their games and in five - seven years, ebay goers will pay out the ass for them *smirks*

Final Fantasy III. I thought it would be excellent, but it was slow, didn't make sense, and just confused me. Meanwhile, I loved IV.
The "you have to turn mini" thing was such bullshit.

Gears of War. LAME.
UGH, same here.
I re-bought GTA2, and Red Dead Revolver and I did not like them.
Maybe when Red Dead Redemption [http://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption/] comes out I'll like Red Dead Revolver again.

SD Gundam Force for the Gameboy Advance. I loved the show and the PS2 game, but my GOD. The Gameboy version is tedious, impossible to beat, and has no story to speak of.

Street Fighter 4

GTA4

.... That's really all I can think of in terms of games I bought for nostalgia that completely disappointed me.

Everyone raved about No More Heroes but the copy I played was the sloppiest and most tedious action game I've ever played.
The fact that there are grass cutting, gas pumping, and litter collecting minigames should really say it all right there.
