I have PvZ on PC
PvZ HD on my iPad
PvZ on my iPhone

Dead Space on PC and PS3
Assassin's Creed on PS3 and PC

I'm considering buying Fallout 3 on the PS3 because my PC version on Steam continuously crashes or locks up.

With the recent purchasing of C&C Ultimate(albeit at a very very low price in a promo.) I have bought the entire c&c collection twice once in the first decade and now to have it online whenever I want and then everyone from Red Alert up to Red Alert 3 at least once in retail at their release dates. At least EA was decent enough to let most of my old games with keys be registered into Origin.

Other than this notable exception I don't really remember anything. I guess AOE II is soon to be another one.

Oh wait I just remembered, every single Star Wars game in my Steam account goes into that category, I basically have them all on retail disks somewhere but can't really be bothered with disks anymore. Same goes for Fallout 1 and 2, and I guess that's that.

Before the Region 1 release of Demon's Souls was announced I imported the Asian version. Sadly I couldn't cancel that order so I ended up buying the collector's edition too.

I also have several formats/versions of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, FF2, FF4, FF5, FF6, Crystalis, Shadowgate, Link's Awakening + DX, A Link to the Past, and Zelda 1,2

Alpha Protocol because the PC version is fucking awful. Ran wonderfully on the PS3, though.

There's also Super Street Fighter IV. First on the 360 then on the PS3 after I sold my 360.

Borderlands for PC/PS3.

Mirror's Edge for the PS3 twice.

Can't tell you how many times I've bought different versions of the first three Resident Evil games over the years. At some point in time I've owned each one, be it GameCube, PSone, or from the PSN.

Pokemon Blue, Gold, and Silver (x2)
-My mom got into the handhelds, starting with the Gameboy Color so there are a couple copies of these. If you count HeartGold and SoulSilver, make it 3 times.

Final Fantasy VIII (PS1, x2)
-Disc 2 messed up and I took it back to EB Games to replace it. Later found out that disc 3 was also defective and bought another copy off of eBay.

Shadow of The Colossus (x2)
-I bought the Ico/Shadow of The Colossus HD Collection.

Red Dead Redemption (PS3/360)
-It was my first game for the PS3, Walmart gave you a $100 gift card when you bought the console and that's one of the things I got with it. Played it all the way to 100% completion in the original story and Undead Nightmare and reached the 5th Legendary Rank, Lv. 50 in multiplayer. Then my friend wanted me to get it for the 360 so we could play together on multiplayer. I love the game, though. I'm on my way to the top again and slowly working on getting golden guns, too.

Fallout 3 (360/PC)
-For mods.

Skyrim (360/PC)
-Again, for mods. The horse commands mod made having a horse much better.

I bought Titan Quest three times. I really wanted to play that game with friends but when that finally happened I devised a build so ridiculously OP that my friends didn't really enjoy themselves because I could sweep everything off the screen before they got an attack in.

Civilization 1-3.
Only bought them twice because it came in a package with the "Civilization Chronicles" collectors edition thing or W/E that I bought and got Civ IV with, and I already had the other copies from when they came out.

Minecraft. Bought once for me, bought a CD key for my friend and sent it to him. He then paid me for it so technically he bought it, though all transactions were under my name.

Have bought nothing else twice. Just not worth it. I get it on the PC, so I'm always with the best copy of the game [even if its a shit port can still use things like a PC connectible controller to play, though why would I], and there is no game I would consider worth buying twice unless I could sell it to someone else.

Mass Effect twice(I wanted to see how much different the PC version was... I actually still prefer the xbox version though).

Dragon Age: Origins twice(original version and the Ultimate edition, both PC).

Final Fantasy VI twice. I have the old PSX disc and I bought the digital version recently so I could play it on the go if I wanted.

Mega Man X on the SNES and Virtual Console.

Ocarina of Time on the N64 and VC(the Virtual Console version is censored all to hell though, so I really don't like it.)

A game has to be very special to me if I actually go out and buy it more than once. The games I listed here are just a few examples.

Note that most of these games have been bought twice because they were either: A) Better on PC (mods, graphics ect) and B) Recently sold my XBox to concentrate fully on PC gaming. I don't just buy games twice without thinking about it, I make sure selling the first copy can help cover the price of the second.

-Oblivion Twice (one on Xbox, then sold it and got it on PC)

-L4D2 Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Portal Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Portal 2 Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Half Life 2, 2ep1 and 2ep2 Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Fallout New Vegas Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Limbo Twice (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Mass Effect Thrice (one part of PC Trilogy edition, other two on XBox)

-Mass Effect 2 Twice (one part of PC Trilogy edition, other one on XBox)

-Mass Effect 3 Twice (one part of PC Trilogy edition, other one on XBox)

-Rayman 3 Twice (one on PS2, other HD edition)

-Alan Wake Collectors edition twice (one the xbox exclusive pre-order, other a steam sale)

-Alan Wake's American Nightmare (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

-Assassin's Creed 2 (one on XBox, then sudden Steam sale)

There's probably more, but I can't remember. Most of these games were bought because they were 75% off or something on the steam sale, and I could sell my origal copy to cover costs.

By the time I sold my XBox, all the games I cared about were on my PC and any that weren't were either console exclusives, not a part of a steam sale or simply not worth buying again.

I bought Deus Ex for the PC twice. Not for the love of the game, but because the CD had exploded in my PC and buggered the CD drive.

I also bought Forza Motorsport 3 twice, but only because I was too busy dribbling over the uber cute asian girl who was serving me. I tell you, she could sell snow to the Inuits...

I´ve bought Master of Magic from 1994 about 4 times because its so damn good and I always seem to lose my installation cd. Now I finally got it on GOG so losing it is over for good I hope.

Also, Warcraft 3 and The Frozen Throne expansion, I´ve bought 8 times each. A few CD´s broke after I accidentally drove over them with my chair, a few CDkeys were lost because friends borrowed them and a few were banned because I lived at a dormatory with a shared IP adress and some jackass was caught hacking on Bnet. Also, I´ve got a few cdkeys for the bots I used to run so they all added up.

Other than that, Ive bought UFO: Enemy Unknown (from 1996) three times I think, again due to loss of CD.

Bioshock, first on XBox then on PS3, it's that good.
Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2), Substance (PS2)and the Vita version included in the Vita HD collection.
MGS3 Subistence (PS2), also the one included in the Vita HD collection.
Persona 4 (PS2), sold it but recently bought P4G for the Vita.

GTA: San Andreas (PS2), played my first copy until it died, still needed my CJ fix, bought another.

Ones that come to mind so far:

Plants vs Zombies (For Xbox 360, then PC when it went on sale)
Burnout 3 (Ps2, then Off the XBL Marketplace)
Skies of Arcadia Legends (to replace a bad disc)
Final Fantasy VII (PS, PSN)
Burnout: Paradise (It was cheaper to buy the full edition on PSN than a single piece of DLC on Live, so I bought it for my PS3)
I have a few games I technically bought multiple times as part of a Humble Bundle. I can't name them.

I know there are more, but not many.
