You can also find a weapons lying around and also a weapon that shoots a electrical ball into the air and follows your opponents and kill them. hope you can help me

Arcade stand up, single player, side scrolling with a medieval theme. Played it at a pizzeria in roughly 1986-87. You controlled a shirtless Conan type character who started off wearing rags. He carried a chain whip that had an axe or maybe a spiked ball at the end? As the game progressed the whip became upgraded and you would receive heavier armor to wear. He would also get an increasing number of knives to throw each time he slashed with the whip.

Enemies you fought were zombies and corrupted knights, standard fantasy fare. Level design was made up of mostly interior dungeons.

Each boss character was a different colored dragon, green-blue-red etc, the final boss being a black dragon if I remember. When the game was beaten it showed your character sitting on a throne with a woman standing next to him, it claimed you've become the new king or some such. It stands out to me still because it had quite good graphics for its day.

Been searching for the name of this title for years now, does any of that ring a bell to anyone?

Ok...here we go..it was a racing game...old style (early 90's and you had to run it in DOS
It was with angular cars and the fastest one looked like a buggy but had a full body and was very small in width.
The track were closed pipelike tracks with bumpers and spikes attached to the side.
I think you could use a booster, but I'm not sure about that one...

Somebody an idea?

I would love you guys if you could help me out. This was an old PS2 game, it came out in the early 2000's (I think 2002ish) It was a M rated game and you played as a chick and killed troll lookin people and stuff like that, and I THINK it had a badass looking dragon on the cover. I don't really remember much about it. It's kind of like Drakan if anyone's ever played that, except it was a little more brutal if I remember correctly. That's about all I can remember. Thanks!

Howdy folks, I played a game from a demo disk years ago, pretty sure it was on the PS1. Basically you were in a giant rabbit mech suit jumping around, going from place to place (there may have been some shooting, honestly don't recall) Any thoughts?

Not sure what it was called, But was a western themed arcade game I played all the time at a local restaurant. You could choose between different characters then would run along kind of like contra and snes type brawlers. I remember in one area of the game you had to like jump up on a bunch of herding cows and run on their backs.

@Chiasm Could it be Wild Guns ?

Hello everybody,

there is a game that I can´t simply remenber since weeks ^^. I played it on the PC in the 90´s, it was some kind of RPG game, I think a little bit Anime style and the hero got robbed directly at the beginning. No Armor, clothes or weapon( I think the sword was called Falcon sword, but Im not sure).
So you had to start the game naked and get your stuff back.
There was also a scene where some sort of Snow White character where prisoned by 7 dwarves, I think the whole game got some funny scenes. Anybody know perhaps what the name was ?

Okay. Whoeve can find this out is like the coolest person ever. Anyways, it's a sidescroller on the Ps1 that I was playing when legend of mana came out (possibly a demo) and I think it was made by square enix.

You play as a kid who runs fighting mosters. I think he had a net. Then if you kill or see a certain type, you can transform into it. It is 2d and has Lom-like graphics. Thanks!

I remember this game for...the PS1 I think, a little over a decade ago?

I think it was on a disk with a few other obscure games, but I don't remember any of them well enough to describe. The only one I can remember is where you control this beachball I think on a floating platform, I can't remember much else other than that. Thanks!

Also, does anybody agree this thread idea would make a great website? People describing old games to researchers who would then try and find out what it was? Someone should make such a website, could be successful.

Tecmo Bowling? Or Tecmo Bowl? I forget the title but I believe it was on the Neo Geo first then hit the Saturn.

It was a Spider-man side scroller for either the NES or SNES. I played it at my hair cutting place when I was about 4 years old.
Spiderman - Return of the Sinister Six?

Hmmmm, it was this game on the PlayStation 1, you were like an anthropomorphic tiger, and you clawed all the enemies in this like misty forest. I can't seem to remember the name....

I can vaguely remember a game on the N64, I believe. You were a kid with black hair, and you could also turn into an older version of yourself at will, I think...maybe, anyway. I think there may have been a girl around somewhere as well. It was all classic Japanese sorta design in the setting, but there was funky stuff like lasers too.

And a huge mecha battle. REALLY huge mecha battle that involved flying across a plain while shooting the other mech from the cockpit of yours in first person view. Goddamn awesome. Really, really hard at the same time though.

No idea what it was called at all. Only played it a couple of times. Shame, I'd like to try it again and see if it's easy now.

(Also, first post, hurrah! No more skulking in the background!)
You know, this sounds like [a super awesome game called] Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon.

Yes? No?

@Greg020

Sadly not I remember it did have a 4 player select kind of like the early X men arcade game. Though the one I played was a two player cabinet. Also there was a scene where you could get on a horse and chase a train as well.

The SHMUP that got me into SHMUPs. It took place in space, and I remember you were a red spaceship. The bomb items kind of looked like smart bombs from Star Fox when you picked them up, and when you destroyed enemies it left smoldering fiery ambers like in DoDonPachi. I was told it ended in the letter 'X' yesterday by a friend who remembered it also. It would be great if anyone could help me out with this one. I played it about 10 years ago.
