Game on PC, you controlled lots of little soldiers and it was 2D, think I used to play it in the late 90s (I was quite young).
Oh man, that could be many things... could you be more precise on "lots"? Lots as in "a group", or lots as in "an army"?

Could it be Cannonfodder?

Can't find anything on this after hours of websearching...
VERY old (looking), 2 color (green on black), top-down, turn based...

War game where you controlled a handful of soldiers (green dots). Each turn allowed you to move them one by one and/or fire/throwgrenade/rest/medic them. They moved through a scene chosen (you picked the theme - 'forest, field, town, city') and then dynamically generated. The buildings were just green-walled-outlines and obstacles (ie/trees) were mere 5-dot crosses. Mind you this was strictly top-down; Not even a hint of off-set for 3d effect.

Bullets/grenades could hit and remove some of the wall - eventually you could fire through the openings made in walls or even move troops through if made big enough.

Aiming was a matter of entering a rotation (1-360) and a distance (for grenades).

Soldier types were (I think) Sergent, Grenadier, Sub-machine gunner, Rifleman, Medic.

Troop/game info was in a section to the right and/or bottom of the screen...

This could have been DOS/AppleII/idk era. but I remember playing it on a win9x machine.
I also think it was a mere executable with no supporting folders/files/installers, and the filename was an abbreviation perhaps (due to the 8x3 filename restrictions at the time?).

Anyway, I don't expect any replies on this one... just taking a chance. :D

Dear god I've lost sleep trying to find out the name of a pc game I used to play as a kid. Never got anywhere in it because I found it scary and I didn't really know english back then. I hardly remember anything except that it was a 3d adventure or perhaps survival horror game. It begins with you riding up to a bridge leading to a medieval town. You get off the horse and walk over the bridge and then the bridge collapses.

The town is deserted and almost silent hill -ish. I remember there is a church and if you go to the belltower there is a priest who will talk to you and then kill himself by jumping down. You can walk around and enter houses. In one house there is a minotaur thingy that kills you, in one screen there is a faun that plays a lute (and then kills you). In another screen there are kobolds that drag you away (presumably to kill you).

I'm looking for this PC game too! Please help us out! :'(

Game I loved for psx. You played a guy with pink hair who apparently killed things by jumping on them and humping them and had to free his grandfather or avenge his death or something. There may have also been pigs involved. What on earth was it called?!?
This is Tombi one of my faveourite games ever!!

im wondering if anyone might remember the name of a game that was on the NES. It was kinda like an adventure RPG and you were an alien. it was set in like a theme park i think. I mainly remember you had to find things like tickets and you had to get your licence and that the cartridge was an odd shape. haha i know its not much to go on but if anyone has any idea what im talking about that would be awesome, since its bugging me.

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here, I would really appreciate if someone could help me out.
By now I managed to track down the games from my childhood, with the exception of one. I have been looking for this game for a while, but I cannot find it.
I am hoping one of you might know/recognize the game from my description.

It is a PC game. It was probably released between '94-'97.
It is a 2D adventure "platformer", but not in a Mario style, it is very similar to Another World and even more to Flashback.
The graphics are also similar to flashback, but this game was more detailed. It also had detailed character animations, movements.
The game started out with an FMV, showing a 2 WWII planes' dogfight, and the protagonist got shot down, and crashed to some island. There are dinosaurs on this island, and the game had nice pre-rendered animated background where they could be seen running, eating the vegetation, etc.
The game wasn't like Contra, it didn't have a lot of action going on, as far as I can recall it was more puzzle/adventure oriented. First you started out with a rifle, and it was in the jungle, but later some character gave you a sword, and you ended up in some old, arabic-like civilization, where you mostly fought with the sword the classic prince of persia style.
The game was relatively short, and I remember after the ending it said to be continued.

I know the description is a bit chaotic but that's all I can recall.
Please let me know if you know this game
Thanks in advance!

This website seems like just what im looking for :) im certain this was a ps1 game. basically i think you started off as a yellowish dog that moved and jumped like it was on the moon. very high jumps and very slow movement, i also remember being able to unzip my skin or fur and inside would be some black squigilly thing that could only last without the dog skin for a certain amount of time. i believe you could switch skins with another animal i recall there beign a mouse skin that i had to put on to make a var jump. Can anyone help me?

EDIT: Hadn't realized that someone had pointed it out to them.

OT: It's a RTS/Strategy game. It took place in ancient China (I believe) and you could use God Powers or something similar (think Age of Mythology). I never actually played it, but my friends father used to play it all the time and I always meant to try it.

This was an Arcade game at the local pool. You would play as this big muscular white man and it was a side scrolling beat em up. All I remember is beating people up with a pipe and eating turkey I found on the ground for health.
That sounds an awful lot like Streets of Rage to me.

Hey!
I have a little problem recalling a game i used to play when i was younger. (I Think) It's about a green little dragon, that you're controlling, and you are going to solve puzzles. It's viewed in third person.
Thanks!

I played some game long ago, you played as a soldier, your view was from the top to down, god-style.
There was things like helicopters, airplanes, tanks and robots, also I think you died from one hit.
Yeah.. With that bad/little description I don't think anyone will know what it is :p
Also I think it was some flash game/free download.

Hi, I'm trying to remember the name of a game for PC. In the game you were on the moon or a surface of some planet and you were in a some kind of fighter plane. Now you could fly around just a bit above the surface, you could also jump with your plane where it would lift up and then come down smoothly. You could exit your ship and had something resembling a sniper rifle which if you shot the pilot in the enemy ship you could take over his ship with no damage to it. Also if I'm not mistaken you could order for stuff to be built at your base. I think mostly buildings maybe some other type of attacking vehicles. There were escort missions and recon missions where you had to leave your ship to be undetected but if you got to close to the enemy they would still spot you. Other missions were where you had to destroy enemy bases. I think the game was from either late 90's or early 2000's. I've been trying to find it but with no luck. Thanks for any help.

I have a game that I have been thinking about FOREVER and can't seem to find the name of it. It was a language/grammar game from the 90s and it was a rainforest game. I remember in one of the sections you would have to race to put out a fire in the forest and you'd move the helicopter over the part of the fire and drop water on it. I think this section dealt with correct grammar. Another section of the game I remember having to dodge out of the way of like paint balloons I guess you'd say? I think that part dealt with letters. Does anyone know what this was called? It could have even been fruit and I think there was a toucan? It's been a while lol.
