I've been playing MK2 on my PS3 lately, now I was never great at fighting games, I could learn a few moves and pull em off okay, but i'd always get whipped by my brother. I used to ba able to complete MK2 but now I can't kill Kintaro, and it takes me a while to get there!

Anyone else got any games they used to be good at and just can't handle now?

EDIT: Been getting posts about games that people can't play for a reason other than they suck at it now when they didn't before. No offence, but I wasn't really asking if you're old PC games are compatible with your modern PC

Hmm... I have games I can't play anymore due to shitty graphics. I don't think I've ever had a game I got worse at (at least to the point of not being able to recover) and couldn't play anymore.

There are games that are just too hard for me in general. I hate Metal Slug games, because I can't beat the first level of any of them.

That's just me sucking in general, not getting worse.

Lol, just me then? It has literally been about 15 years since I played. And yeah, Metal Slug is tough stuff!

Used to play, but BOTH my controllers busted about a month into the game, so yeah, I'd suck now too (haven't played in 6 months+). Bloody shoddy workmanship!

lol I don't even know what happened it's wireless so i have to turn it on and wait for it to connect to the wireless accepter on my ps2 and the light on the accepter is solid and the light on my guitar blinks....and blinks...and blinks for like 3 minutes then it just shuts itself off. It just started doing that one day and never stopped
....hmmm where should a post a thread for help with that like wich section? gaming discussion or like off-topic or what?

Well it's related to gaming so Gaming Discussion should be fine, but you might wanna put it in off topic just to be safe

Probably Wind Waker. I originally played it to be amazed by the excellent use of cel-shading and the incredibly well done experience that did a great job of creating a new universe for the the Zelda series. However, after I played Twilight Princess, I went back to it feeling as though a certain touch was missing from the experience. It possibly was due to the fact that I was used to a different concept of Link that forms him into a more modernized character.

I've actually had quite the opposite. I used to be TERRIBLE at Tekken, but recently I picked it up and destroyed a bunch of Korean kids at it.

I love Metal Slug. Yes, it was difficult, and I would've destroyed it on one of the arcade machines of it in Menorca if it wasn't for this Irish kid (no hatred towards the Irish here. In fact it just made me hate children more) very rudely using one of my credits to become the second player (he was awful, and died, and I've learnt always to press the credit button until only I can use them all). Thanks to his stupidity, I died at the final boss and didn't have a final credit to win.

Now, on topic, I pride myself on staying good at all games (that I like). If there was one I wouldn't be able to do now if I played it, it would be one of the races on Jak 2 - great game, but I used to hate those races, though on retrospect I might be fine with them.

A whole lot of Sega Genesis games fit that description. I can't play Sega Genesis at all.
Opposite: I used to not be able to play Ocarina of Time and now I find it to be fairly easy.

God of War II, damn near impossible for me to play because of the stupid puzzles. I beat it before but when I went back, after I beat the Colossus I had no interest in going any further. When will developers learn that no one cares about puzzles unless they have something to do with the storyline.

I used to be the master at Kirby's Dreamland, last time I picked it up I found all my skills had dribbled away...so sad...
