999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors...
I can talk about this game for quite a long time. The scary thing is I don't even need somebody to talk about it with. I've written a review [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.253559-Psychic-Psycho-Reviews-999-Nine-Hours-Nine-Persons-Nine-Doors#9440017] on it. I also wrote a top games of 2010 list [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.255045-Psychic-Psychos-Top-Games-of-2010#9534521], with the sole intention (despite what I wrote in my intro) of being able to advertise 999 some more.

Far Cry 2, SWAT 4, Beyond Good and Evil, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, and Alan Wake. You can't shut me up! There's just something magical and worth shouting to the heavens about each of these games.

Far Cry 2 for all the gameplay stories and experiences you can have. It's the best western game ever (RDR can suck it), unforgiving and unpredictable at every turn.

SWAT 4 for being the most fun non-shooting FPS ever! Which other game can make pepper spraying, tasing, and cuffing idiot criminals and civilians this much fun!

Beyond Good and Evil, for how much variety and characterisation is packed throughout your adventure.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway for making a dramatic and psychologically intense story in a WW2 war game. Also, the only respectable WW2 game that isn't a shooting Nazis gallery.

Alan Wake for merging storytelling and gameplay so well, with plenty of surprises along this unforgettable thriller ride.

Metal gear 1, 2, 3 and 4. Especially if you're trying to explain the story to someone....

Mostly FFVII and it's variations (AC, CC, DOC, BC). I've loved that game ever since it came out.

the red faction series
the games are just fun to play
and
it's fiction is disturbingly close to reality
(when Earth colonizes Mars it could easily turn into an abusive regime)

Anything Metal gear solid or Fallout related, I can go on for hours.

I once had a two hour long conversation about the story, characters, theories, plot points of the whole metal gear solid series.

Im also a huge sucker for Fallout lore, because of it being one of the most fleshed out universes in gaming.

Minecraft and the Zelda franchise are like that for me. Hell, I just spent from 11 last night to 6 this morning picking apart Minecraft water physics with my friend over his irc channel.

I could go into great detail over a few games. The first one, or ones if you prefer that, is the Assassin's Creed series. I go into great detail when it concerns the subject 16 puzzles, videos, and the info that he had dug up. I would tried to explain it once to me brother and it said to me, "It's just a conspiracy theory that's not true." I know it is, but I can't help but feel that it was very well thought out.

I also like to explain Okami, American McGee's Alice (a great PC games that is extremely hard to find nowadays), Pokemon (I would spends hours talking with one of my friends about different tactics, where to find certain pokemon, etc.), and last but not least World of Warcraft.

Pretty much every MMO I used to play starting with Everquest. When PvP MMOs started to come to play, the talks were more in depth than a PvE MMO. PvE is limited to boss fights. Once a raid beats it, it opens a floodgate of others to beat it. PvP is limited to people and their characters so it is more vast than a PvE boss. Enviroment plays a part if the game allows. Not so hard to sound like a nerd talking about all that.

But, I feel the same way with New Vegas. I am on my 4th build, a heavy guns build as I intent to build. He is level 12 and I haven't been to Vegas yet(with any of my characters for that matter). I am really enjoying wandering around. I admit it is slow going with this build but I find it challenging. My sniper build was too easy which made it a little boring so I stopped using him.

Man, I don't mind the cazador or the deathstalker. They are hard, yes, but the nightstalker sniffed me out while I was walking around and didn't notice it till it was on my ass. I was dead before I could turn around. The half snake, half dog still gives me nightmares. Once I found out about ED-E though, the caution music gives me comfort no matter how annoying it sounds.

I could talk about Tales of Symphonia for hours. I could probably go on for at least 2 hours just talking about the story and another hour for just the characters. then after talking about all the items, EX gems, and Party orders I use it would probably go for at least another 1.5 hours.

I'm sorry but that retort.....didn't actually make sense. Just saying =/
May i suggest the classic "Your Face can't take a joke!" retort?
Very underrated those are.

Or wait, were you joking when you said "You should know by now that I take Bioshock deadly serious"? cause you didn't make that clear at all!
