that's really the question isn't it? raziel may have had free will but he could still be controlled (moebius said it himself, he couldn't pinpoint exactly what raziel would do but he could "see the ripple of his potental actions" )and who's to say if raziel purifying the reaver wasn't his destiny all along and all the other events weren't just leading him up to it (yeah, i know about the prophecy, but raziel himself questioned it, why would the ancients create a blade that could "consume and imprision their saviour" - and seen as it was found out that it was really about kain all along; who can say what raziel's true purpopse was!?)
- and it seems that only those who have free will can see the elder god, then that means kain now has free will because he can see EG
time travel isn't 'moot', kain knows how to activate and work the devices (SR end/SR2 intro - and by all accounts the chronoplast chamber in the oracle's cave is still there (no one knows when it was built and just because kain didn't visit it in BO doesn't say it wasn't there (it was in a secret passage after all)) and kain isn't in the BO2 era YET, he's still at the end of BO (and BO2 starts with kain, vorador and his army - which if vorador is needed for that, kain has to find away to bring him back - because no matter what you say the Blood Omen era/timeline is the ONLY ONE which hasn't changed, it's the only part of the series where the events contained within MUST happen how they did)
- there are actually TWO reavers at the end of Defiance - old kain has the purified soul reaver which was the blood reaver, his younger self (which is/was at the pillars - and is still walking around while Okain stands there) has the corrupted reaver which will eventually be shattered against raziel (and nicked by the sarafan lord/hlyden general in BO2). And if you stretch time abit, there'll be THREE reavers in the near future as wraith raziel (SR2) is thrown back in time to the (SR2) future - so the wraith blade'll wandering around with the corrupt reaver (with young kain) and the purified reaver (old kain) - and it's a good guess that these three will be around before the start of BO2 otherwise kain'll have to kill an army of demons (and i'm sure if some demon-slaying happened in the BO2 intro/begginning, kain's 'army remnenats' would have mentioned it at some point, or vorador may drop a hit at one point... or seen as both games were at diffrent place and same/close time period, kain-army could have been kicking demonic butt while raziel went skippinjg off to janos' retreat (collapsed)/air forge? but i still think if demons were involved then it would have been mentioned and not to mention there's still moebius/vorador's head statue in SR2, which will put demon-kicking-army too close....
so much for short eh

- we both mentioned wanting to see the original SR, with that in mind i wanna see it when it was still called Shifter (i'd love to know what the diffrences were ^.^)
and another game i'd like to see was (i don't know if this even got finished??) something called The Lost or Lost... i can't really remember unless i go through all my old mags - but it was supposedly about a waitress who's 'daughter'...son...child was...er, killed...kidnapped...???... and ended up in hell and the mother made a deal with satan...a demon... and went to hell to get 'it' back and had to go through...4 worlds i think it was??...i just know it sounded abit like how Primal ended up being and i'd love to know what happened to it? (was it a proto-Primal? was it axed because it sounded too close??)
another is Countdown Vampire - it was released years ago, but ONLY in USA and Japan!? - i don't care if it's a Reident Evil-clone, i wanna play it! it looks fun!! why can't some one release it over here!?? (uk)

Crytek then bought them and renamed them Crytek UK, and are now discussing whether it's a good idea to proceed with making Timesplitters 4! Do you even have to ask that question?

I totally forgot about Young Kain/Sarafan Lord's reaver, so the next game could indeed be about Kain confronting his younger self to restore the pillars. That would be a kickass conclusion. And maybe Moebius' death (or rather annihilation, since Raziel ate his soul) gives everyone free will (wouldn't that be neat?), making this scenario even more plausible.
So I add a Legacy of Kain sequel to my wish list. One more reason to live for. Yay!
