The original Gears of War.

I just cannot understand why the hell it was so popular. Chainsaws on Assault Rifles? The masses are so easily pleased.

Seriously, the first GoW had to be one of the most frustrating, annoying shooters I'd ever played. I could not get into it. It felt cheap some of the ways that I died, and it pissed me off to no end that somehow my guy had enough energy to yell, "REVIVE ME!" At the top of his lungs, but apparently not enough energy to slide across the floor to safety (which they added in GoW2, the best game of the three imo).

The only reason I beat it was because I'd paid good money for this piece of crap after hearing such praise for it, and I was at least going to get my money's worth out of it. Ended up feeling like I'd been screwed out of $40. It just sucked.

Oh, and Halo Wars. I knew it was a TBS, but I was at least expecting a DECENT TBS. That was just sad.
Ninja'd, both on the choice of games and the chief complaints. I finished the original GoW mostly out of spite. On the whole, it kind of reminded me of that Woody Allen line about life being miserable but being over far too quickly. Unlikeable characters, boring meat shield enemies, forgettable story, and slog after slog after slog to an unsatisfying conclusion. And that last boss...seriously, fvck that guy.

I've finished most games I've started, even ones I didn't like. The Temple of Elemental Evil jumps immediately to mind. It's touted as the most accurate translation of the D&D 3.5 rules to a computer game, and that's fine, until you realize that without like-minded nerds in the room 3.5 combat is slow and boring as all hell (and this from a guy who loves JRPGs.) The game is also bugged right out the ass, has a terrible interface, insipid dialogue and never explains certain important points like why the Temple of Elemental Evil exists and why I should care.

I could also talk about Lunar: Dragon Song, but if I do I'm going to start crying and it's really cold here.

Beyond Good and Evil

I'm not going to rant, but suffice to say I really, really did not like it. In fact, I disliked it so much that I decided I needed to finish it so that I could justify my intense loathing for the game if it ever came up in conversation.
But surely that effort is wasted if you don't take the opportunity to rant?

Also, and this is a pretty petty complaint, but the player character kind of looks like a twat, a twat to whom the concepts of running, jumping and swinging a sword are apparently unfamiliar if the animation is any indication.
Actually, yeah, that's the case. One of the few things directly stated about the backstory is that Wander stole the sword as part of his bid to "save" Mono. He wouldn't be familiar with how to use the sword.
I don't have much experience with a sword either, but I could still tell you that the full body heave Wander does when he swings it around is ridiculous.

On the subject of jumping, that's something that should probably come fairly naturally unless you're six years old. The running animation comes down to opinion, though. I just think it looks idiotic.

The Prince of Persia (2008) reboot, Space Marine, Rage
I didn't hate rage but I bought it and was so bored by the story that the great gun-play was the only thing that dragged me through it, easily my most disappointing game.

I was gonna say this, I just didn't really realize I didn't like it until I finished it. It was very bland. Not much to it.

Most recently would be Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Interesting and tactical Assassinations that were in the first game completely vanished. Also I hated the Apple of Eden segments with every fiber of my being.

I would've added that too, but I never actually finished. I wasn't huge on it from the start, but the homicide desk killed it for me (no pun intended.) The same case six or seven times, followed by a fetch quest and a shit ending.

Because the first got quite boring and repetitive with resrictive gameplay and horribly slow and chorish combat. Also Altair's personality was about as interesting as a plank of wood with knives strapped to it.

The only reason I enjoyed AC2 and played Brotherhood was because the story to AC2 was much more fun and intriguing.
Wha...? I can fully understand why people didn't like the first game - I certainly don't think it's even close to perfect - but AC2 had much more restrictive gameplay, nothing was done to improve the core problems with the combat and it's story was terrible. And while I'll agree that Altair's personality is a bit thin on the ground, he has a decent, if uninspired and somewhat rushed, arc.

Fallout 3, I just didn't want it to end.
Bioshock 2, that game was the worst thing I've ever played, talk about a cash grab.

Warhammer Space Marine, while when I was playing the demo the combat was a blast, but by the end I wasn't having too much fun since it was so fucking repetitive. Relic definately should've included more variety, or at the very least have more strategy in fighting other then "hit x over and over" and have better combos (why do I even have a combo sheet if they're all the same and extremely repetitive?). And the multiplayer only had two modes, neither came out as anything substantial. The only good thing from that game was the jump pack sections, THAT is something gaming should incorporate more of, but everything else? I'd pass thank you very much.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Gameplay was good enough for me to want to keep playing, but the story, characters, dialogue, aesthetics, and general feel of the game literally made me angry at Ubisoft for thinking this was a good idea.

Metro 2033. I loved the book, and the game wasn't bad, just not as good as I was expecting.

Also, I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but it wouldn't have been my first choice of games. Devil may Cry 4. It was good, I'm just not a fan of the series. I only played it while I was hanging with a friend who really loved it (and I found out that only using the guns was a great way to playfully annoy her!).

The first uncharted. My brother went on about how great it was so I stuck it out. But the whole time I was playing it, I wished I was playing something else. Really did not like that game.

And a small rant.

1: It is not a fucking TBS i hope you just got that wrong by accident. It is a RTS.

2: It (In my opinion) Is the BEST RTS for all RTS on a console! What as bad about ti? IT did everything right witht eh controls, unit balance, resoources, and multiplayer was great! Even the single player stood out.

So please elaborate i do want to hear.

OT: I don't know... LEt me check..... Enter the matrix (Xbox) Battle field 2 modern combat (Xbox) and Medal of honour European assualt (Xbox) I did not know why i did those games or wwhy they took me so long to beat.

Modern Warfare 3. I was interested in how the plot developed after MW2, but it was such a dissapointment. The whole General Shepard conspiracy was sidelined for making Makarov the big bad, and as stated before, the whole "invade Europe all at once" was only an excuse to show a Normandy ripoff and the Eiffel Tower being destroyed for the upteenth time. The death of the child was tasteless, and the fact that a long standing character dies when his replacement survives the same fall really angered me.

Battlefield 3's campaign (Multiplayer kicks ass though)

I felt like the owed it to the designers to play it to the end, seeing as how they put in the effort to make it.

Mirror's Edge! Loved the Concept, but the Execusion was AWEFUL! The only reason I finished it was because I heard that on top of being terrible, it was monsterously short as well, so I desided to finish it. (Love that it takes Control from you for the last part, not that I could do it.)
