Icewind Dale, the-in-ory it should feel no different from Baldur's Gate, and yet I was bored out of my mind playing those... and I can't really tell why.

Half Life and Half Life 2.

I know I should, but I honestly cannot for the life of me figure out what all the fuss is about.

It's not that it's bad, I just don't think it was that good at all.

And now I'm gonna raise my flame shield and wait for the storm.

Deus Ex 1 - should have liked it because i read some reviews and it sounded awesome, i couldn't wait to play it and i just KNEW i'd love it.

...didn't like it, because... i don't know, first of all, it was kinda too hard for me (at the time), the maps had extremely confusing architecture (i hated Shanghai, or Tokyo or whichever it was, couldn't find my way in there), and there weren't nearly as "open-ended" as i expected/hoped for. additionaly, maybe i was doing something wrong, but the gameplay to me seemed to consist from walking around, talking, and not being allowed to do anything else because as soon as i've drawn gun in most of areas, everybody started panicking and/or trying to kill me (successfully). yes, i just didn't know how to play this type of games back then, but even now, when i adore Thief 3, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't like Deus Ex if i tried to play it again.

Supreme Ruler 2020 - should have liked it, because, HELL, YOU CONTROL A WHOLE COUTRY! Economically, policitally, socially, diplomatically, military-wise, you manage everything, on a global and local scale, it's more of a world politics/warfare simulator, and i'm a megalomaniac and always been looking for a game like that.

Additionally, it's REALTIME, YAY!

didn't like it, because... well... i actually DID like it a lot, but got bored of it pretty quickly, because the pacing of the game was SO SLOW, even on highest speed - one day took about half a minute, and building something would take anywhere from one to several months = 15 and more minutes. to see and feel any progress at that pace was just... hard, even impossible for me.

Jane's Combat Simulations: Fleet Command - should've liked it because it was basically a strategic simulation of naval warfare, RTS where you control whole fleets of ships and use all of their (real) weapons, sounded just awesome

didn't like it because i was disappointed after a while by how repetitive it got pretty quickly, the range of options sounded limitless on paper, but in actual gameplay, it felt quite limited.

Baldur's Gate - should've liked it because i LOVED Planescape: Torment.

didn't like it, because i expected a strong philosophical story in awesome unique world, with state-of-the-art dialogues, but all i got was a generic fantasy environment with a story that felt weak and generic too, compared to P:T, and a game that seemed more focused on battles than anything else, and i've been never too fond of Infinity-style RPG battles.

Morrowind - huge open living fantasy world where you can do whatever you want, need i say more?

didn't like it because "whatever you want" turned out to be pretty limited (to me) - "do i fight this creature, or this other one?", and the world was pretty empty. to me, the whole game was just a grinding sandbox, and i've never been a fan of grinding.
(but i loved its music and atmosphere, so i spent quite large amounts of time in it anyways, roaming through the world and watching scenery, i just didn't consider it a good game, but more of an "ambient relaxation tool")

Very much hate the game Kingdom Hearts. Everything about it sounded great and I couldn't wait to pop in my PS2. Now don't get me wrong, I love the idea and enviroments of the game. Yeah its just a poor mans brawler with no real strategy thrown in. So bored just tapping the same button over and over again and not really dodging anything. All it made me think of were the the good brawlers I could be playing right now. Yeah God of War, Devil May Cry, Double Dragon, Turtles in Time, anything but this. Really have no idea why the game gets so much praise when the combat is so god damn crappy.
I vote for KH as well , i love finalfantasy to death , i'm a fanboy . I also like disney . Bit i can't stand kingdom hearts . I think it's too childish for me ... I hate it so much , i bought both , havent played either for more than 2 hours before i quit . Oh and it ruined yuffie for me , in FF7 i though yuffie was a cool ninja lady, but apparently i had that all wrong . According to KH , shes an annoying little brat.

..and also in Crisis Core she is an annoying little brat.

I also vote for Kingdom Hearts. One thing I noticed is that if I am running and I stop, the character takes a few more steps and I hate that especially where platforming is concerned.

Blazblue.
It's a solid fighter that looks great and has a fun cast.
But, for some reason, I always have to force myself to play it and only then it's for my friends who love playing it.

Fallout: New Vegas. I probably should have liked it because it's basically Fallout 3 with a new location, but it feltdry somehow.
