My friend bough me a game called Dark Sector (PS3) for my birthday. That was about a week ago, and I still havent played it. Its not just that I have other gams to play, every time I pick it up I think "wow, I am not at all interested in playing this game".

So, has anyone else here had this kind of experience, where you have a game you feel no compulsion to play a certain game?

For a slightly different reason, World of Warcraft. I enjoy daylight and what little sleep I get. If I played WoW, I would lose that too. Therefore, to date, I have NEVER played WoW and hopefully never will.

I bought Saint's Row 2 and Prototype because of a special offer that was going on. I've played SR2 to death but haven't even touched Prototype yet. I just have it sitting around. Not sure I'll ever get round to playing it.
Also, I love the Pokemon games but when I overload on it I need a long break. If I don't wait long enough I'll pick it up, get to the title screen then just turn it straight back off again. Weird.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams on the Wii. I got it for Christmass, or X-mass to those who feel touchy about the word, a while back. Quite honestly, I didn't want to touch the case let alone play it.

while I am somewhat interested in prototype I dont think I could stomach all whole "horrible people doing horrible things to each other" its the same with saints row 2 BUT its so over the top and I actually care for the main charachter (even if she is a sociopath)

I'll never finish Dragon Age. I slogged through 10 hours of that bullshit, could barely stay awake. Now I'm putting it away, or selling it. Which is a shame because I. FUCKING. LOVE. BIOWARE.
thats a shame, I really did like dragon age but I havent finished it (im on the final boss)its just simply too hard for me, unlike an action game where I can practice this just never came naturally to me (My tactics got as advanced as hit the heal button over and over again and hope to nit die ) but I will wehen number 2 comes out

Yeah, the over-the-top feel works really well with SR2. For that reason I also prefer GTA San Andreas to GTA4- it's got a lot of make-believe elements to it.

There are a stupid amount of Wii games I will NEVER play, such as "Babysitting Party". Yes, that is a game.

I haven't been able to finish Deadspace, Dragon Age: Origins, or the main story quest for Oblivion. I look at them and think, I should really finish those, coz, I've got nothing better to do, but then it feels like a chore. I really want to finish Deadspce and DA:O because the sequels look pretty damn good.

It doesn't really take itself too seriously too. It's basically a comic book plot that acts over the top. The most fun you have in prototype is doing over-the-top stuff.

There is actually even a over the top REASON why its possible for the main charachter to be a horrible maniac murder machine.

From the beginning your charachter is actually dead. You play as the virus just with memories of Alex.

Any MMORPG, JRPG, or Bioware RPG. I know Bioware gets a lot of prais (mostly from THIS site), but I'm honestly not interested.

I'm with you on Dead Space. It looks nice and atmospheric, but feels boring. Oblivion I have, and I kind of want to play it, but it's far down the list it's not even funny.
As for Dragon Age: Origins (which I played through just for the story, on the easiest difficulty), keep in mind that Dragon Age 2 is not a direct sequel, but an entirely new story and character.

Alright then, a few candidates of my own:
Burnout Paradise and Flatout: Ultimate Carnage. Both of which I bought on Steam sales, and neither of which I feel any desire to reinstall. Just goes to show that neither open worlds or spectacular crashes are worth anything if the actual racing falls short. An awful soundtrack doesn't help either.

Music is all opinion. I found the soundtrack in Burnout Paradise to be fantastic.

Except for "Girlfriend".

OT:

I've been meaning to replay Okami. But I just don't want to do it...It's just not as fun the second time around for me.
