Games you DON'T want yahzee to review.

He could review everything and I would be happy. One man's opinion of a game isn't going to change my whether or not I like it. His opinion of some of my favorite series is clear (he doesn't like them with a passion), that doesn't prevent me from enjoying his humor or agreeing with him (on occasion). Often, I'm well aware of the flaws, but I enjoy them anyways. Like he's already stated, video game companies don't need fans defending their honor from a single, pissed off critic. They're big boys, they'll make the games I love regardless of his opinion.

Off Topic but Yahtzee does not review games. Yahtzee is a critic and therefore does critiques.

OT: I wouldn't want him to review any JRPG type game as it would just be boring. I know he has an extreme hate for JRPGs and the jokes in the ones that he does critique feel a bit too obvious which ruins the random style the jokes in the show should and usually does have.

He's said multiple times that he likes RE4.

Oh, musta forgot. I'm in the clear then. Them's the only two games I have an undying unconditional love for, everything else I can admit fault in.

He's already proven that his reviews are pure hyperbole (despite the "Edutainment" tone he put into several videos), so anything he says should be disregarded when making a purchasing decision.

You know, unless you're the sort of idiot who actually believes his opinions are facts.

So for that, I say all games are fair play!

I love his reviews. Just because he bashes a game doesn't mean its not worth playing! Its all about individual tastes and the ability to see and accept flaws in the things you love!

Minecraft. It's so basic and freeform that I'm worried he'd point out the problems in it, which would make them become progressively more glaring the more he'd mention them until I'd start to dislike the game. Then I might as well stop gaming because that game is my favorite PERIOD. I can happily say that whilst criticism drives us forward, sometimes both the creator of the game AND the gamer can gloss over bad parts. When they get pointed out (with brutal accuracy), it becomes harder to gloss them over and eventually your heart just turns into a pulsating pile of must and you feel the odd urge to wear awesome hats.

Drakengard...in the case he isn't driven to total insanity by the gameplay, the alternate endings would likely do this. Plus, as screwed up as it is, i love the game to bits.

On one side, I wouldn't want to hear him even mention another thing about Sonic games in his reviews. I like the 3D games and hearing how bad he makes them out to be just annoys me. I played Sonic Unleashed and I'm suspicious that the Wii version was different from the others because he mentioned stuff taking place I have never witnessed, and I beat the damn thing. (Granted, half the game was boring as shit). Incidentally, the boring-as-shit part was the part he liked because he pretended it was God of War. Wtf?

On the other side, I want to hear his opinions on all games because (usually) they are funny and give an interesting perspective on games I wouldn't normally have. Wrong or not, they can be good, regardless.

So... I guess any game, for me, is open as long as they aren't boring wastes of an episode like that iphone games episode.

Also:

Fire Emblem, any of them. He would misinterpret everything, I just know it.

I've played Fire Emblem and, if I remember correctly, he said he could get into the "turn-based strategy thing" in his review of Valkyria Chronicles. I think if he reviewed ones like Path of Radiance, it would be interesting to hear his perspective. But ones like the remake for the DS or Rekka no Ken would be ones I wouldn't want to waste time hearing about.

I feel the same way. Plus it's not like it should change your opinion. And every game that gets generic reviews needs to be brought down a notch. If no one says it needs improvements, how will games get better?

That's exactly why he should review them. In fact, I've seen Kingdom Hearts on here several times, so I could easily see him reviewing it in the near future. There's so much meat there...

So this is basically us covering for our favorite games so we dont have to acknowledge the crap they may be (yes, I've played the LoK series).

Um... well, favorite game wise, i wouldnt want him reviewing Persona 3 fes. Its a JRPG and he HATES JRPGs, so he would be biased there alone.

But more to the point, I wouldnt want him reviewing the pokemon series because I already know it would turn into a hate speech, and i just dont need another enemy to defend the games from

EDIT: Thought of another one. I wouldnt want him to play Catherine when it coems out. I think it would break yahtzee.

??? you mean about Catherine? Cause i meant that it might just break Yahtzee's mind. Its doing a good job so far for people not familiar with the insanity that SMT usually puts in their games.

I do, I want to see just how far the game will push him, or will his love of tits prevail over all?

I want him to review anything and everything. I don't take his reviews as advice for buying games, and usually he is right about the stuff that's wrong with games. Just because I like a game doesn't mean I don't notice their flaws either. And just because they have flaws doesn't mean they necessarily ruin the games for me all the time.

You can't take what he says too seriously. His vids are just for the angry cynical lulz (which I do love).
