World of Warcraft: Takes forever to reach the max level and get the best gear. Then they release the a new content patch making it take even longer.

Grand Theft Auto Series: Seems to have allot of pointless side missions.

Sins of a Solar Empire: On a full map, it takes a very long time to finish.

Dragon Age: Origins - Good lord. Now, I actually love this game after repeat playthroughs, and no longer feel the length like I did the first time... but the first time was absolute murder. It seemed like every idiot with a lyrium addiction had a labyrinth under his home you had to traverse to take him down.

Final Fantasy XII - Another one I love, but I always feel the length on this one. In Final Fantasy X, around the 30 hour mark I'm just about finished with the game. At that same point in XII, I'm only just wrapping up the first act. The unfortunate part of this mess is that the first and third acts are great, while the second should be about 5 hours of gameplay, but is extended to about 40 if you do side quests. What. The. Hell.

Black and White - I've probably started this game 10 or more times, but only beaten it once.

The Elder Scrolls - All of them. I know, that's the idea, right? However, I seem to get burned out on these games way too quickly between interesting moments. Let's hope Skyrim can keep interest up as well as Fallout 3 did.

Half-life 2 still haven't finished it
How far have you gotten? Without spoiling anything, it gets better towards the end, and the actual finale is incredible.
I think I'm at this combine base in the middle of city 17 or was it the big tower? I don't remember. Any ways i think part of this reason I haven't finished it yet is because I find the combat really boring, I can't really put more words on it than that since its over 2 years I last played it.

Edit: another reason is probably that I didn't play half-life 1, and there for have no clue of what is going on, the game is crap at explaining it to new players. I'm a scientist that is starting a rebellion? Allso who are you am I supposed to know you? Why am I even helping these people. And why the fuck does everyone on the planet know my name!!Those are the thoughts I had in my mind when I was playing it

Portal 2, as much as I love the game second act definitely could have been shorter without game suffering in quality at all. But I understand they were trying to outdo the 1st one in every aspect so they had to do some padding in play-time length department so I don't hold it against them ... much.

Tales of Vesperia comes to mind. After fighting what had been built up as and presented as a final boss battle, the game flings me back into the starting area and a new quest begins! How about no?

Same deal with Lost Odyssey. After climbing a puzzle tower twice only to have me fall of it without anything relevant ever really happening, I was not too thrilled at the idea of climbing the queen mother of all puzzle towers, and given that I had been denied a proper boss fight the first two times, I really could not be arsed to see whether they actually would wrap the damn thing up or continue teasing.
