I played a demo of the original Uncharted and hated it. Someone asked me to try it again as they loved it and grudgingly I did. Sooo glad too as it is great and the sequel is even better!

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam on Wii. At first the idea of racing was stupid, but I started to have fun with it.

I played Jade Empire before I KotOR and expected the combat to play the same. They didn't and I almost returned KotOR the nest day, but I forgot and kept it past the week I had to return it to Gamestop. So I tried it again one afternoon and when I stopped playing, I realized that it was almost the next moring.

Morrowind - I played the thirty minutes and had already died once and was in jail with less than I started. A friend walked me through the first hour with tips and play mechanics and then I could not put it down.

Dead Rising.
Starting a new game at level 1, the difficulty curve felt like running headfirst into a brick wall. Sorta like GH3 on expert. After getting up to part with Carlito and dying like 20 times, I put the game on my shelf for awhile. I went back to it a weeks later, leveled up while going for Zombie Genocider, then finally went back into 72 hour mode. It finally seemed fun, and I found I really enjoyed it.

For some reason it happens a lot with my games.

But yeah, even though I had looked forward to it, I wasn't sure what to think about Dragon Age, but now I love it.

The inverse effect went with the new Flashpoint game. It saddened me.

Been said before countless times, but Fallout 3 for me too. The gunplay was a bit terrible, some console shooters are easier to aim than Fallout 3 on PC. The story was kinda meh, and the movement of your character felt so artificial. But after a few hours the atmosphere takes over and you find a truly great game. Can't help but think that if the same game was made by Valve instead of Bethesda (Keeping everything the way it is, just with valve engine), it would have been the greatest game ever.
