I was seriously addicted to Runescape. Total dork. I'd get home and play it until dinner, then I'd play it till bed time. But the game is a horrible excuse for a MMORPG, so I feel silly for liking it so much.

So, what games are horrible / you hate, yet you can't stay away from?

I had to think on this one, those old dungeon keeper games. The dam things would never install properly but for the few minutes I could play where a blast.

Free MMORPGs. I hate the grind and there is no plot, but... but... Tales of Pirates and Silkroad are pretty. :3

Any Final Fantasy game. I can't stand the gameplay, it's boring and grind-tastic, so why do I love them so much?

Any rpg I've ever played. It's doesn't have anything to do with the actual game. It's just the fact that they can suck me in so much that I can play for 5-6 hours and not realize it. I've played some for so long in a row that I'll start getting a headache from not eating in so long and yet even that won't stop me sometimes.

That would be any game with an unbelievably high crash/bug rate, but great gameplay and story. Espetially ones that rely on a checkpoint system, cause if you're not fast enough to run from one checkpoint to another without a crash you're screwed.

Fire Emblem (7) or Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2. I've done pretty much everything there is to do in both games, but I still go on gaming binges with them. Then, after a week or two I become completely sick of the trial-and-error "sometimes the game just hates you" nature of both games. Still, I can never entirely purge the addiction from my system.

I'm assuming you're around 12-13, right? From my experience, that's when I was interested in the sad excuse for the game, but I suppose, with age, I lost my interest. Of course, if you aren't that old, sorry... things just happened differently for me...

As for me, I suppose I'll say Runescape. I'll also throw in a vote for Rainbow 6: Vegas.

Oh, yeah. The Backyard sports games. I don't have them anymore, but I felt freaking dorky for playing them. I just loved customizing characters stats and playing a simple sports game.
