Its gears. I dont have a Play station, anything, so I've never played any god of war game. They do look really interesting thoughFather Time said:Is this Gears of War or God of War?glitch388 said:Hm. Where do I begin?
GoW (any of them)
I loved the God of War games but I tried playing Gears 1 and I got bored.
You shouldn't hate something without trying it first, makes you seem like a douche. That being said, your friends are pretty much right. Lots of spraying, and the guns kill you in 2-4 bullets. Honestly, that is probably the easiest shooter on the market to pick up and do well at.Conn1496 said:Call of duty. I would buy this game to frisbee it off a cliff, and watch the fan-boys go chase it off. I never realised what's so good about it. I've never played it and never will. All my best friends give it bad reviews too. One even said it took absolutely no skill, and by the sounds of it, it doesn't. In a game where people can spawn, knife an unsuspecting sucker then jump around with everyone trying to headshot them until the time runs out to win by a rather hollow 1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 victory, it really needs to be rethought (Or burned). (By the way, the first time one of my friends played "CoD" the aforementioned happened to him.)
Ugh, I did NOT like Red Dead Redemption. I want my money back for the time I wasted on it. There aren't a lot of games I didn't like that I've played..Djinn8 said:Red Dead Redemption: lets play a series of mini games over and over where the mini games in question require you to do nothing more than press A to win. Nope. Part of the reson I feel so let down by Painkiller is because I love this type of game. I'm a big 90s FPS fan (Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Duke3D, Blood, Strife, Unreal, etc.) and have played way too much Serious Sam. But this game is just poor. Any game where I can walk across a room and be flung into the air, even outright killed, by stepping a piece of broken crate just plain sucks.Revrant said:Yet, I have this bizarre feeling you like Call of Duty.Djinn8 said:Painkiller: Physics so bad you'll die from stepping on a box. haven't given it much attention. wasting my time enough looking at swtor and duke nukem and these escapist threads when i should be doing homework. (fuck high school. seriously)DefinitelyPsychotic said:Quazimofo said:well, the story gets pretty repetitive in what happens. and once you get the first rifle, you have basically unlocked every gun in the game. everything else is just a spinoff on the first guns, 'cept maybe the last pistol you get. not to say i didn't like it, i just got to mexico, got bored, let my bro play it, and when he beat it i felt i didn't need to play it anymore since nothing really that new happened.DefinitelyPsychotic said:Umm I'm pretty sure you don't shoot with "A". Anyways, most of the minigames are avoidable unless you are going after outfits.Djinn8 said:Red Dead Redemption: lets play a series of mini games over and over where the mini games in question require you to do nothing more than press A to win. OT: Definitely all of the Halo games. Didn't impress me at all. Just another sci-fi shooter...
and halo was the first sci-fi shooter, and the other games in the series (save halo wars) added a couple new things, but were more or less ripoffs of the original, which was what most people think as the best. (also enjoy all the halo games, but they just aren't THAT different when ya get down to it)
do not get why black ops gets so much praise. don't get me wrong, i enjoyed modern warfare, but the story in black ops, it was just... calmer. the sound editing made everything seem almost empty except for when you shot at someone (or maybe mine was just glitched), and the multiplayer is essentially the same, but with older, crappier, guns and a couple new toys.
Eh, you are right about the story being repetitive after you get to Mexico, but I still don't see what Djinn8 meant about pressing "A" ("X" for PS3) to complete every minigame...?
Anyways, how do you feel about L.A. Noire coming out next month?
The reason I haven't tried Call of Duty is the same reason I haven't stuck knifes into my testicles and sung the whole of "Friday" backwards in falsetto; because I would find it time wasting, agonizing, and plain unexciting; And yes, I do sound like a douche.NightHawk21 said:You shouldn't hate something without trying it first, makes you seem like a douche. Trust me, I have no clue what Dungeons and Dragons is except what my friend says about it and from what he describes, it sounds like WoW you play offline.KalosCast said:Halo (the first one) was new for its day. It basically combined all the little innovations from a bunch of different shooters into the same game for the first time. It was also the first example of a shooter that really felt at-home on the console (come at me, Goldeneye fans) And after that just rode on its popularity for the rest of the series. I can definitely see why people don't see much in it now.Death God said:Halo and WoW. Halo just seems like another bland shooter like CoD and Modern Warfare and WoW is like Dungeons and Dragons but online. So I'm not even the least bit interested in either game.
I gotta assume you're trolling on the WoW comment though. Or just don't actually know what Dungeons and Dragons is.
