The first thing that came to my mind was Red Dead Redemption. I have no idea why people like this game so much, might be because non of my friends got the game and the multiplayer is full of idiots who don't know how to shoot or large groups of friends bullying anyone else in their server.

I didn't like the story either. [SPOILER!!!!!]You travel 1 and a half country around finding the ones who betrayed you at one point in your life because the government will harm you if you don't. You've just put that past behind and you were about to settle into this new life when the starting FBI come knocking at your door and steal your family away from you. You risk your life in many engagements to bring your former gang members to justice and for payment you recieve 3 days of joy with your family and then the FBI finishes the gang forever by killing you.

After you've bonded and felt enraged with the FBI to end that bond permanently you then find out that you have to play as his douchebag son, you can take revenge by taking out the leader of the FBI mission and then you can live out the rest of your "life".[SPOILER!!!!!] This "life" consists of doing missions for random strangers, shooting the ocasional cougar, collecting some flowers and trading it all for guns and ammunition. Whoopdefreaking doo this game sounds fun... but after two hours of that you've really seen it all. The graphics were the only thing that made me enjoy the short ride, although I still believe Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood had a better western feel.

Not to mention the features that either weren't in the game or were put in with some kind of lame and tedious version. Such as robbing a train, shoot one of the 4 passengers sitting in the ±10 wagons while riding a horse and the entire train just stopped. Then you could kill whoever was still in there and loot their corpses, thats it. That's not robbing a train western style, that's just lame.

There's alot more that bothers me about the game but these are the headlines I guess...

Mass Effect: I played the first and the fights just seemed slow and the story never really dragged me in and seemed kinda boring to me. Never played the second and have no reason to as the story doesn't attract me at all.

Dead Space: Now for this I only played the demo but I found the controls clunky and the aiming/shooting felt unintuitive (Yes it was only a demo but the demo is made to make me want to buy the game and in that respect it failed)

[I don't hate, seeing as I still buy them] But any mainstream online fps, (Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War etc.) because it's these major games that stop people from playing interesting multiplayer games like Team Fortress 2 and Portal 2 (Only one of my xbox friends has one of those :/)

Fable series

Poor excuse for an RPG, it's even worse then DA2 and that was a piece of shit.

I don't hate it but I never was found of the Donkey Kong country games, not that entertaining as a platformer compared to Mario.

Also never liked Never Winter nights.

inFAMOUS. Not hatred, mind you, just apathy and ambivalence about its popularity, but, anyway, I do dislike it. If you want a reason why, in my own opinion, the gameplay handles like arse and it's the single ugliest game I've played in the last ten years, and the design and script feels lazy and unfinished.

You know, I saw the title of the topic, and I instantly knew the OP would be a Portal-hater. Weird, huh?

And no, I never hated any game I played. Hate is too strong a feeling. I don't make stoo-peed purchases.

I'm gonna make myself unpopular here:

Portal 1 and 2.

Now I'll clarify before I'm set on fire by the sheer mental power of your collective hatred. I don't HATE them exactly, I just don't see the grand appeal they have that makes people so defensive and fanatic over them. I can play them just fine and have a fairly enjoyable time doing it. And GLaDOS is funny in a weird kind of way.

But...that's it for me. They're okay. Not insane "best game of the year" level gaming (hopefully that's reserved for Arkham City) so I get a lot of shit for this view.

Also, Call of Duty. Activision? Put down the beans and listen: stop that shit. Just cut it out. We don't need this much Call of Duty. Stop it now, please? It's just...I'd really like my friends back.
If you don't hate them why post them in a thread where you're supposed to be posting games you hate? Doesn't exactly make sense.

Only games I can think of that everyone loves that I don't right now. There's more but I forget them regularly.

Halo 3. Responsible for turning all my guy friends into zombies when it came out. They didn't want to do anything else but Halo 3. And when I finally gave it a go (or should I say, when I was finally given a chance to hold a controller, because most of the time I was left watching them play), I couldn't understand what the big deal was. So they promptly excluded me from their Halo sessions, leaving me quite friendless for a while. Thanks, Halo 3.

I don't hate them, really, I just don't get the Mega Man games. It's a perfect example of game developers not realizing that they weren't developing for the arcades anymore. Then again, that's most of the games on the NES, but Mega Man really stuck out.

Minecraft. Again, no real hate, but I don't have that much interest in what is basically a world sized Lego set. I like games where there literally is no goal (I loved Sim City and the like), but Minecraft just didn't pull me in at all.

(Can't comment on Call of Duty -- I'm not a fan of FPSes in general, but I'm probably the only 19 year old American male who hasn't played any Call of Duty games, so I can't judge.)

Fallout 3/New Vegas. I'm all into Free-roaming but I don't really find it too entertaining. Plus I don't get the story.
