I pre-ordered Gears 2 but I never got a call from the shop release day. (They just hold copies for those who pre-ordered y'see) Went in the following day when I wasn't at college, and he'd given my copy away.

I will pre-order DiRT 2. Get a T-shirt too. Even on a university budget I'll buy it full price. Thank you government funding!!

I don't bother going throuh the hassle of Pre-ordering. The gamestop gimics just don't really get to me. I'm looking at the pre-order Odst and play Sgt.Johnson ad right now. And I still don't feel even remotly inclined to pre-order it.

I've only ever pre-ordered Hearts of Iron III. I don't think I'll pre-order stuff often in the future, but I know that HoI3 would be tremendously awesome, given Paradox's track record. And it is.

I always pre-order on the GAME website, you get double reward points and the game usually arrives a day early. Normally this doesn't matter because games in the UK are realised after game in the US, but I actually got to play Halo Wars a day before the rest of the world. At the moment I have pre-orders on Alpha Protocol, ODST and the Dragon Age collectors edition. I will probably put one down for Mass Effect 2 when the CE is announced to.

The only game I actually want to get and look forward to is Modern Warefare 2 but I am undecided what platform to get it for, 360, PS3 or PC? Might just buy all three versions :/

I usually only pre-order special editions, like Assassin's Creed 2 Black Edition (UK only my ass!) and Jumpgate Evolution's Special Edition. Hopefully I can find the Dragon Age: Origins Collectors Edition to pre-order too, I want that cloth map dammit!

It's just easier if I do it whenever I can, then Amazon simply deliver them to me for release day. And I can always cancel them, as late as two days before release, if I change my mind for whatever reason.
