Midnight Club 3. Though that was because the disc was damaged and I wanted to finish the game.

Prototype, because I honestly convinced myself that I didn't give it enough of a chance the first time around.

Turns out the 20 minutes I gave it was enough of a chance. Never got any better :(
I remember a few years back Call Of Duty: Finest Hour came out, I didn't even get past the introduction sequence where you learn how to shoot shit and they made it almost impossible to play because it was so dark, I even messed with the color on my tv until everyone was wearing light green and yellow camouflage and the world was a paisley blue and I still couldn't see shit. Big Red one was WAY better, and that's the only COD game that I truly got through and enjoyed.

I have purchased Fallout 3, Morrowind, and Mirrors Edge twice each, once for the console once for my computer.

But it is that good, so I dont blame you
I did.

That was my third purchase.

I use all 3 versions for different mods. And yes, I do have all 3 versions installed right now.

Naw. I bought the second disc so I could do LAN with a friend, and the third copy was part of the THQ pack.

I didn't BUY it for that reason, it's just what I use it for now.

(if that clarifies anything)
...
(Also was that sarcasm? It's not easily conveyed over the internet)

Yea it clarifies it, a friend of mine did the same thing and I forgot they sold it in a combo pack.

Modern Warfare 2. I broke my first copy, then decided to buy another copy a few months later. I'm surprised I haven't broken it yet.

I'm a packrat. I don't really get rid of games, ever.

That said, one exception was Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter. I bought it used, beat it, and actually managed to return it for full refund during the 7-day return window that the store had. Then later on I re-bought it used for about $5. I still have it, and it's a great space combat game, especially if you have a competent co-op partner.

I've bought diablo 2 and it's expansion pack, both in and out of battle chest forms probably four or five times. It's agittating, but Diablo 2 CD's just don't last long around me. It's a curse.

Thankfully for Steam though I can just load up Torchlight if I need a fix. No more CDs!

Side note: I have entirely too many copies of Diablo 1.

I haven't.

I love NZ copyright laws.

Buying a game, under copyright laws, doesn't mean you own that copy of the game, it means you own a licence to have a copy of the game. by NZ law, you have the right, until you transfer it to someone else (either selling it or giving it away), to a copy of that game. If your copy is stolen, you can legally download a "pirated" copy, and no-CD hacks if necessary to make it playable. It doesn't count as piracy if you do that, because you're a licence holder. The person who stole it from you is a pirate the moment they play or sell the game though. And if they sell it they can be charged with forgery as well (because it looks like a legitimate copy of the game)

RC's Revenge. I think that's what it was called anyway. Some racing game with RC cars that was a buttload of fun.

Played it for a while, got bored, traded it in, bought it again, remembered why I traded it in before, traded it in again.
And I regret it so... I don't think it was even that good, I just loved it anyway.
RC Revenge Pro! The PS2 game, yes? The one with the different themed levels (pirate, jungle, horror, space etc.) and the bubble weapons and the lightning and the rockets?!

I spent days on that...
