The title says it all really; tell us about some of the games you really want to enjoy, but just can't seem to get into.

For example, at the moment I'm trying to get into Far Cry 2 but I just find myself unable to enjoy it because I'm being attacked every two minutes by zealous patrols who have a nasty habit of hiding in brush the same colour as their clothing. The thing is, I really want to get into it because the game is just beautiful to look at.

So, what are some of the games you just can't get into no matter how much you want to and why can't you get into them?

Right now, LittleBigPlanet. I had it for Christmas, and while it's really fun, I can never be arsed to play it, and I don't have the patience for the level editor.

There's been about 4 of these in the past week or so. Please try to enjoy the Search Button.

For me I want to enjoy Mass Effect but can't, because of the combat.

Agreed with Cpt_Oblivious there has been alot of these recently.

My game would probably be Half life 2, I played the actual game right through, but I played it mechanically, I never really engaged the story because it just didn't appeal to me =/

Pro Tip: It's "There's been about four of these in the past week; please try to enjoy the Search Button"

Seriously though, it's getting harder and harder to know what's been a repeated topic because of the sheer volume of threads these days. For example, threads which have been responded to today go on for about six days.

KotoR 2.

I just finished the first one the other day, and after trying the second, it just feels too... different. I don't even know why, but I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as I did the first.

Well, it's not so much a game I couldn't get into, but rather one I couldn't stay into. I'll explain: you see, Okami had 2 Disc One Final Dungeons [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DiscOneFinalDungeon]. I was amazingly immersed up to a bit after the second one, then I just...stopped. I talked to someone who actually had the same problem at the same section, it just started to drag on. Luckily, several months later, I got back into it and just blasted to the end and loved it (having to fight Orochi 3 times was a drag though).

Portal.

I really couldn't get used to the disorientating feeling I got once I came out of one.

Any Gears of War game. For some reason I am absolutely atrocious at them. Any other game I'm average on, but I just can't do Gears. Something about the 'heaviness' of the game too, everything feels big, macho, and strong. Whenever I hid behind cover, the guy's back makes such a horrific 'THUD' I feel like I'm manoeuvring a steel bear; which then gives me the illusion that I can run up to enemies and chainsaw-gun their face without much in the way of harm.

Plus, whenever there is a cut-scene it reminds me of an old war movie, set in a doolally land of giant insect-people, except they're trying to make the guys look buff by stuffing pillows up their clothes.

Oblivion. Wether it's because it's a 3 year old game or not, the combat and everything just seems really... clunky. Add that to a glitchy world and I just don't really want to return to it.

Why can't we just have one of these threads?

Oblivion
LBP
Noby Noby Boy
Drawn To Life
Resistance 2

Wow, I play games for all ages, don't I?
I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

WoW
Every time tried to play I felt as if I could be doing something of higher significance.
To me it seemed like a job.

Unreal 3: No story, never saw much application for skill when most kills online were sheer luck, repetative.
