As has already been noted, most of the 'dirty little secret's listed so far are pretty... well, non-dirty. If I was ashamed of enjoying games like Viva Pinata or The Longest Journey I would presumably be filled with self-loathing, as they're great games. Hell, me and two flatmates all had our own gardens in VP (though I ended up hating the game due to the incredible glitches that afflicted it), and I tried to get as many people as I could to play TLJ.

The only game I can think of that I was ashamed of was Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, but I was always open about enjoying it (it's a compulsive game. Even when using both hands). That being said, I've had to stop myself buying the 360 sequel, on the basis of the many negative reviews of it. I fear that one day, however, I shall give in, and have a real reason to be ashamed.

Mad Maestro! for the PS2. Everyone I hang out with loves rhythm games but anytime I try to pop in this old gem I get shot down.

Hey! What's wrong with Oregon Trail? I would barely refer to the game as "cute."

As for myself... I actually take a lot of crap for liking the No One Lives Forever games, though I talk about and defend them so it's hardly a secret. Actually, the only thing I've ever kept secret is my copy of Deus Ex: Invisible War. I hate the game but I don't want to just, you know, throw it away either.

Mine is probably Okami. This is a conversation I had with one of my friends about it:

"So what's this new game you got like?"
"Well, you play as the sun goddess of ancient Japanese mythology in the form of a wolf."
"...cool... um, so you can probably pwn the bad guys pretty well since you're a god."
"Well, yeah, but mostly you draw stuff with an ink brush."
"....."

Startopia

When I was tired of crappy games I'd install Startopia again and play the sandbox mode until the whole station was full of crap; maybe I should step back one day and look deeper into their formula because it worked for me. Too bad it was a sleeper, I think everyone should try the game.

I played alot of the Elder Scrolls games, Homeworld, Unreal Tournament, and Total Annihilation, but those are regarded as good games. I'd play Pokemon if an RPG came out on the Wii.

When I was young it was Harvest Moon for the SNES, kinda awkward playing it around someone and they go "So uh... You plant potatoes?" and then getting into it and talking about how you take care of livestock and get married and how all of that works... I always married the blacksmith chick.

But now it's Sims 2, I was never ashamed of playing Harvest Moon but Sims 2 actually gives me a fine measure of shame right up you-know-where.

Hm... I'd say DnD. Not the console versions, the actual tabletop game. It's just so awesome!

Oh, and Star Fox: Assault, which wouldn't be a bad thing until you consider the reason why I play it.

*Hint: See my avvie.*

Champions of Norrath. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. I'm trying to drum up the resolve to spend the significant amount of money needed to buy Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2. Reason has prevailed for now, but how long can it last?

I'm into The Sims and Harvest Moon (the girls' version, natch), but I have two X chromosomes so I feel slightly less shame than I might there. Similarly, the fact that I enjoyed the crap out of FFX-2 I blame on the fact that I would still volunteer to be a Sailor Scout if you asked me.

Also about a year of my life, some distant bunch of years in the past, essentially WAS EverQuest.
