Okay, so I'm probably on my 15th playthrough of Final Fantasy Tactics, a game I've owned since 1998 and love. I don't think any turn based strat game comes close to how replayable FFT is with the countless team makings you can create, there's so much to the game though it's not perfect, there's no optional difficulties and it's easy to over level.

I've got the game down to a science I've played it so much, the last time I beat it (last week) the last boss killed herself with a big attack when targeting my ninja (who I cast a move which dropped his Faith to 0 so no magic damage was done). I'm not sure I'll ever be done with this game

I was curious how many people have this same thing going with them, this can be ANY game that you've been playing for a long time including off and on (as in you pop it in once a year or so).
-What game have you played often?
-Have you beaten it many times?
-When did you originally buy it?
-Were you stupid and sold/traded/lost it?
-Do you see yourself ever finishing it and never playing again?

I finished Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal around 10 times then started over to do the same and still have it but I'm playing Going Commando instead.

Actually, I think Fire Emblem got Tactical RPGs first, and FFT is a little spin off-ish. Not saying it's bad, I'd actually love to try it, but not at the moment.

Ouh! I'd have to say:
KH1 I'd love to replay. But I traded it in a long time ago...I occasionally replay KH2 to relive the good times. None of my PSP games I can truly replay, either I've beaten story mode and I just don't have the heart to replay the story. Like Crisis Core FF7. That or the Difficulty curve was not a curve but a brick wall in my face like Disgeae. I love to replay the Fire Emblem game I bought, and KH CoM gameboy advanced version still rocks. XP grinding makes games alot easier.

Finished every Resident Evil game way too many times. Half Life 1 and 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and oddly enough I've beat Mirror's Edge a few times and still like to play it.

Me and my friends still play Micro Machines 2, Micro Machines 96 and Micro Machines Military on the Mega Drive. It's so much fun 4 player when we've all been drinking.

I never said Tactics was first, I said it was best (to me don't take that as fact) because of the job systems, I love turn based strat games but I need characters you can hire, I never dug using only heroes, infact in many of my playthroughs I never used the heroes in FFT. Disgaea is the only runner up I really like but that's less tactics and more grind the heck out of your characters haha.

Final Fantasy 4 is probably the game I'll never stop playing. First got it in 1998 & played it over & over even though I beat it. Every year I go back at least twice a year to play & beat it again. I do it with them all max level & my big chocobo full of stacks of elixirs. I moved & lost it for two years a while back, then got it again for the playstation release, then when it came out for the DS, I got it again. I can't be sure how many times I've beat it, but its probably close to 100 times. Fantastic game & also my favourite of the series.

Half Life series is pretty high up there as well as Bioshock. There are some games I keep playing over & over & have yet to get bored of.

Ive played some version of monster hunter to varying degrees, from hardcore "only game I am playing", to casual pop it in once a week or so for 4 years now. Total, through all the versions, I have over 4000 hours invested in the series. At one point, long ago, my GF got mad at me for how much I was playing, so I broke my copy in half. She went and bought me another one the next day. I've beaten every version, only getting on 100% MHF for PSP though. I don't see me quitting on the series any time soon, but I am NOT buying a Wii.

Yeah, I of course was personal prefrencing on what I said. It's probably a good game that I should look into. And Hey, maybe I'll use my psp for something other than when I get class of heroes and neverland card battles.

COD4. I will continue to play it until MW2 and MAG come out, and possibly afterward as well.

Gothic 1 and 2. I love them to death but that's mainly because it was the first rpgs I played through completely. I still find myself replaying them or at least playing them a little before putting them back.

If you're going to get Tactics for PSP, get the PSOne version off PSN, the PSP version has some new stuff but the game has major slowdown problems.

Tetris, I've put many, many weeks in that. And it is always fun.
Tetris is definitely one I expected to see, that game seems to have an odd calling that pulls people to it out of nowhere.

I'm on my 6th or 7th playthrough of Pokemon Platinum.

I have FOUR L60 characters in Mass Effect (Commando Soldier, Commando Infiltrator, Bastion Adept, Shocktrooper Vanguard).

Single-player games: Half Life 2, Starcraft, Grand Theft-Auto (III, Vice City, San Andreas, IV)

Multiplayer games: CoD4, Starcraft, Soul Calibur 4, WC 3: Frozen Throne

I've been playing these games (some consistently, others inconsistently) for more than a year.
