Beyond Good & Evil. Yeah it's short and easy to get 100% on, but I've replayed it more times than any other game I have. There's just something really charming about it that pulls me back in.

Right now, I am playing through Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the 8th time. Other games that have seen several playthroughs over the years are Diablo 1 and 2, Final Fantasy 7, Silent Hill 2, Fatal Frame 2, Devil May Cry, and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Also, probably many more, that I can't remember right now.

The games I keep returning to are Star Wars: The Old Republic, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Skyrim, Dragon Age: Origins, The Mass Effect Trilogy, The Witcher, and The Witcher 2. I tend to play a game for a couple of weeks straight before getting burned out and playing a different one.

sim city 4 (especially after i heard they are making a new one) because there is no better city building game. cities xl is a steamy pile of buggy software, city life was better, but VERY easy to break - as in make A LOT of money really easy, i liked the idea of separating people though. (that kinda came out wrong....)

baldurs gate, especially 2, first missed out a lot due to lack of companion banter. also Boo. that is all.

and morrowind.... unplayable without mods, but if you mod it right, its imho best rpg ever. truly alien world but still recognizable. ohh well, i guess its nostalgia talking....

The Pokémon games and Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

I've spent well over 500 hours on all the Pokemon games combined, I haven't come close to catching all of them as I have a tendency to start new games.
And I always find myself playing a few skirmish games on DoW:DC.

Minecraft: hands down.

"Just gonna even out this small space here."
THEN
"Hmm, I've always wanted to build a castle.."
THEN [sub]sadly[/sub]
"Fuck. It's...November already..?"

[sub]then....
"Just gotta finish..."[/sub]

Animal Crossing. At least, for a good few years, when I'd play it almost daily. Then I kinda just... Stopped. But I'm going to fall right back into the trap as soon as the 3DS version comes out.

Armored Core for Answer and Monster Hunter. Both pet franchises of mine that no-one else cares about. Every other game, including the likes of Skyrim, Black Ops and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, has occupied me for as long as it took to complete it to a satisfactory extent (except Skyrim, the f***ing reunite Skyrim quest broke and I was like "The White Phial and that orc's books I can deal with, but f*** this s***, this is meant to be one of the main things to do in the game). This meant about 5 or 6 characters in Mass Effect 2, 3 playthroughs of MGS4 (an IhavenoideawhatI'mdoing run, a no-kill no-alert run, and a lulz run to enjoy all the awesome stuff I got from my last run) and 2 playthroughs of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. But it is rare that I will actually revisit a game, I often sell them on for the next game, but these two manage to induce multiple phases of mania, god knows how.

Or maybe it's just because FROMSoftware hasn't made another Armored Core in ages and MH moved to the f***ing DS. Damn you CAPCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Yes ACV is almost out, so maybe not so much the first one.

FFVII usually play through once every 1.5 years roughly (on tenth playthrough atm)

Super Mario bros play it every time my cousin comes round, brilliant game.

Super Mario bros 3 same as SMB.

K-ON Hougako tea time on PSP my favourite rhythm action game cant stop playing it despite 5 starring everything on hard countless times, best import I have ever bought.

Street Fighter 2 turbo I only play against friends now and unfortunately I am a lot better than them at this game so it dosent take long before they get tired of being destroyed but I still play it every chance I get.

I revisit a lot of my games really but the above are the main ones I also revisit Okami occasionally but thats pretty infrequent even though I love that game.

The God of War series. They're perfect when you just want to have mindless fun for a few hours.

Any of the Pokemon games. I just traded all of my good Pokemon and legendaries over from my Black version to my White version and started a new game. No doubt I'll do the same in a few months time...

I managed to take a fortress on my own, but now the rhodoks are seiging me and I dont think I can beat an entire nation. Especially with all the difficulty meters on full. I could die from a stray breeze, and then all your troops forget how to fight (which is something I find annoying).

OT: Mount and Blade Warband, minecraft, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, and probably Halo CE. I was happy about Anniversary, to say the least.

- Baldur's Gate Trilogy
- Mass Effect 2 (likely also ME3 once i get used to the horrible ending)
- Modern Warfare 1-3 (people can harp on it all they want, i still consider the gameplay worth returning to because it's in general great shooting gameplay)
- Freelancer (good space combat games are a rarity)
- Metal Gear Solid series

More, but those are the primary subjects.

Final Fantasy VII, I dunno something about it just makes me want to play it. I have different saves at different points in the game where I just grind and steal and buy, etc
Zelda The Minish Cap, ever since it first came out at least once every year I replay through it, and every year I enjoy myself a great deal
Magic Knight Rayearth for Sega Saturn, same as Minish Cap. I actually started my playthrough last night
Bayonetta, I've already gotten all the trophies/achievements for this game but I just enjoy the combo system WAY too much to ever really give it up. I really hope 2 or a spiritual successor releases at some point

Thats usually a sign that you have started out on your own too early, you need to become stronger yourself first and have good reputation with many lords and a very high renown.

Think about it logically, if some nobody managed to take a poorly defended castle everyone would try to take it from you as it just becomes an easy castle to take with no real backup.

If you spent a long time in another faction and are known, feared and respected by all they might take you seriously. I spent a long time in the Nord faction and when he refused to give me territory i rebelled against him. I started my own faction and they immediately sent me a peace treaty and had several lords wishing to join my cause.

That doesn't happen if no one gives a shit about you.

.
On that note one of the vaegir lords immediately defected to my side. This brought a city with them, so losing my castle wasn't much of a big deal. Also, I deliberately tried to make it on my own, without joining any factions, to give me a break from my normal process.
