10 years ago, I got Wario Land 3 for my Gameboy Color. Guess what I played this morning when I found a dusty cartridge in an old box together with my Gameboy Color. I know I loved playing it then, and I really love playing it now.

10 years is a looooong time. 10 years ago I was a little dipshit trashing my brother's N64 for not letting me play with it.

That started me thinking. 10 years ago I played Soldier of Fortune on my brother's high-end gaming pc. I'm downloading it now. 10 years ago, I played The Longest Journey (although I didn't understand much of it back then) for the first time of many times. And I know people here still play this game.

So to the point. Which games do you know for certain you'll play again in 10 years?

That is ofcourse if we survive the very realistic apocalypse of 2012.
WARIO LAND 3 I haven't played that game in ages, I can't believe I forgot about it damn. Anyway some games would be; pokemon (any of them that I have really), Batman Arkham Asylum, Mass Effect, SSBM (if my cub holds out that long), and KotOR (hopefully the third one will have been released by then).

Final Fantasy 8,

When you have played a masterpiece, it's hard to not want to re-live it.

Probably the modern warfares (yes even MW2, the spec op levels (not american ones obviously they sucked all-round) are even more innovative as long as you're willing to do your best to keep the catastrophic story out of your head), as well as the Orange Box and half life. I don't have any really old classics that can be relived again and again as I was still toddelling in the doom era.

EDIT: Also possibly Rome Total War (don't judge me) and Worms 4 Mayhem

10 years from now, i know i'll be all excited to pull out my dusty 360 out, and play Tekken 6. Its a legend of a fighter game.
I disagree, the fighting is excellent but the problem is that the main story doesnt use the fighting system no it decided that devil within should become the new gameplay style, couple that with bad online multiplayer and a boss that is cheaper than Jinpachi well lets just say that Tekken 3 was the best in the series tekken 5 is a close second. I wish thay kept Tekken Force cus that was actually good
Ah yes. Tekken 3 was undoubtedly the best. Wasn't a big fan of the 5th one though?

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on my GBC. First game I ever played obsessively until I finished it, and darn it was satisfying.

I'm playing the Ocarina of Time waiting for Mass Effect 2 to come out. I know that in another ten years I'll bring that baby out and boot up another profile while waiting for some other big name release to come which will only be forgotten some years later and the cycle will repeat.

Mass Effect 2 looks great but going back on Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask I realize just how much of, well, a masterpiece these games truly are.

Chrono Trigger

Dark Forces

Megaman X

Quake 3 Arena

Probably Portal and a few other Valve products, if only to introduce them to my/my friend's offspring.

Edit:// Just found out you can get The Dig on Steam, I am all over this shit.

Its kinda sad to see whats happened to Tekken, its like they are trying to add so much useless crap to it, if they ever make tekken 7 then they should make arcade the main story mode again, improve the online multiplayer if possible, and bring back tekken force and unlockable characters! It was no fun when i had all the characters unlocked from the start.
Also it would be great if the story was easier to follow, i could follow the storyline fine up until tekken 6 came out, why is Jin the bad guy? Who the hell is Azazel? who are all these new characters and what do they have to do with anything?

I'll so definitely be playing Hearts Of Iron III. I can't wait until some more interesting mods come out for it.

Then the fun shall begin.

Also, I'm still playing Ocarina Of Time every once in a while. I'd forgotten how to do the forest temple, but now I know!
