Games you like in genres you hate

Mario Kart and Soul Calibur in their genres. I enjoyed Battletoads back in the day, but I have yet to find a beat-em-up game I enjoy. I play NHL Hockey, but only for the Penguins. I guess Starfox 64 is a rail shooter if you want to count that.

If Space Marines had their own genre, Vanquish would be there.

NBA Street Vol 2. I don't know why I picked it up in the first place. But I loved it. Nobody could be my dude, Ice Water

I wouldn't say I hate sports games, but I don't exactly go out of my way to play them. However, NFL2K2 is a fantastic game by all accounts, and easily my favorite football game, even 9 years later.

I'm not huge on puzzle games either, by Puzzle Fighter and Tetris Attack are both great in my book.
