Bleach:Shattered Blade.

I loved it...though im a massive Bleach Fan so i might have been wearing "Goggles".
Though Komamura and Renji were awesome characters to play as.
What you said. Great game. Loved kicking ass as Gin.

Samurai Legend Musashi is pretty cool too. I can understand the bad rap it gets for its atrocious voice acting though.

I really enjoyed Jericho, but many people I talk to about seem to hate it. I think there should be a sequel, but I know that will never happen. :(

I was going to say final fantasy 8 since it seems to get glossed over when talking about FF's and the junction system was awesome but it's been said a few times so....

Sonic Adventure 2: I played the crap out of that game. Bought a gamecube for it since thats what it was on when I first tried it.

I´d agree with the earlier statement about Half-Life. I thought the game was quite enjoyable, Well, atleast up until the last part, where you got teleported to the Xen (or something) Planet. That´s when the whole game died for me. And I can´t help but complain about some of the gunfights, and "Puzzle" parts of the game. It´s not as flawless as averyone seem to think (IMO).

OT: I Played Tabula Rasa alot. It was the best MMO ever created. It´s a shame they had to close the servers. Reopen the servers again!

ED: Oh! I just remebered another game! Dark Messiah Of Might And Magic ! Loved the game, It was like Oblivion, but with way better combat and an equally good story.
However, people didn´t seem to like it as much as I did :(

To answer why it seems "So many people hate it", it is because hate speaks louder than praise here, as those who might normally like it will be shot down or fear the shooting down...

Christ errr...I think Resonance of Fate was a bit underdog-ish as reviews tended to scare (well it seemed to) people off by it's steep difficulty curve. I don't see it and find it quite straight forward.
Believe me, after the lengthy tutorial and the repetition of a few key lessons, it actually is MUCH easier to get into than say Final Fantasy VIII. I look back now and laugh as I immediately exclaimed "Where's my materia!?" on starting it up for the first time.

I really liked the game Black Hawk Down on the Xbox, not that I ever met anyone else who owned or was proud enough of it to admit it. The game had very little to offer in the single player department but it had an interesting and roughly polished multiplayer that was fun and worth all the replay value it offered.
It died an unsung death and was sadly not included as one of the Xbox games that worked on the 360.

I'm going to say Alpha Protocol. It had some very real problems but it was worth both my time and money.

The Sims 2: Castaways (wii)

The word sims is what really scares people off. It has the sims but there needs are easy to meet. The sims don't have jobs they have to go in this game, they don't money so you collect resources and the craft with them more like an rts. You can make tools, clothes(your clothes degrade over time and slowly provide you less comfort and look sexy :p), furniture, houses. You can build all your house(or build one of the games preloaded ones). Houses wear down over time(tiki falls apart faster then say wood) and you can build almost anywhere. You might want to build near the shore so you can fish or near a hotspring so you can get a really nice bath as you go more places are found. It has changes in weather. The food system they use is great, there are tons of diffrent foods u can pick/catch/find. You can grow your own gardens. There's a story your following about trying to get home but you can keep playing after. Oh and MONKEY BUTLERS! For the sake of this game I have come up with a few alternate titles.

-The Best Freaking Trapped On A Tropical Island Game Ever!

-What Lost In Blue Wishes It Was

-The 2: Castaways (honestly if someone just scribbled out the word sims with a sharpie it would have sold better)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I thought it was fun and engaging, and I found Nathan Drake to be a likeable character. He didn't seem that smug to me at all.
