Games you loathe, not just dislike

Not just hate, but actually despize with a passion. Games that make you see red. For me, that would be Tomb Raider, the Last Revalation. The controls are like trying to defuse a bomb using an instruction guide written during the Crusades. I'll give you five seconds to guess what the button for jumping was.

I do not understand how it is possible. If a game is bad you stop playing it, if you continue to play it to the extent that you end up genuinely despising it then you are a masochist or have something wrong with you.

It's not like crappy radio music where you might have to experience it against your will (family members, shops etc.), so there really is no valid reason for despising a game.

Not to mention that there are very few games without any redeeming qualities. Especially well known ones.

Well, to be fair, that game was realy made for consoles. That does sound a bit stupid, though.

For me, I have to say ff: dirge of Cerberus. Vincent was so much more bad ass before that shit-fest was released.

I bought a ds game, I don't remember the name, coming back from vacation so i had something to play on the car ride it was FF crystal chronicles style, except the controls weren't good, the story was crappy, and the game was practically unplayable i spent 35 bucks on it and traded in for about 15 about my local gamestop... thats what i get for reading a box and making and assumption.

I really have better things to do with my mental energy than get all worked up over a video game. If it sucks, I stop playing it...maybe kick myself a little for wasting money on it if I bought (rather than rented/received as a gift) the game, but that's about it.

Really, people. Hate? Despise? I hate Osama bin Laden. I despise the United States government (both parties). I loathe Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann and Sean Hannity and Keith Olbermann and whoever thought Carrie Underwood covering Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" was a good idea. But a video game? Doesn't rate on the scale.

I lasted about 2 hours into it before my eyes started to bleed.
