I got a nasty one. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. This game did things right that few sane people would ever discover, but the level design was brilliant. Physics, broken. Camera, idiotic. But once you had played a level a couple times, trying to blast through at high speed without making mistakes was like no other game I've ever played. And the challenge it presented, combined with the learning curve, made it even more rewarding to 100% than games like Ninja Gaiden.

Mine would be Ace Combat 5. it may be old but it has the best story of the entire series. so it may not have a multiplayer mode but thats not neccisarily a bad thing.
I disagree. I think Ace Combat 4 was the best.

Games I liked that others dont:

1. Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon (Ps2)
2. Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Assault 2 (Ps1)
-I know the past 150 Gundam games suck, but these were fun to me

3. Alien vs. Predator: Extinction (Ps2)
-this was a GOOD rts on a console and you got to be the aliens (60+ units)

4. R.A.D. (Robotic Alchemic Drive) (ps2)
-this was like Fight Night plus Godzilla plus Transformers, fun (although I wish they would have spent 10 bucks to strap a damn chair to the mech so I could pilot it with a good view of the battlefield)

5. War of the Monsters (ps2)
- awsome super attack and 50's movie style

6. Medal of Honor: Frontline (ps2)
- pretty much my 1st FPS game, such good memories ('Our Trip to Holland' Video)

7. Transformers (Ps2 2004)
- based on the Armada series (the one with the mini-cons) this game gave Optimus Prime a sniper rifle mini-con, Beat that Michael Bay!

...Juiced, the redheaded stepchild of the übercool streetracing family. Actually, even worse: Street Legal: Redline is absolutely shagtastically AHWRSUM (except the cars handled like wheelbarrows, horrific UI issues and..well, so on.)

SaGa Frontier
Legend of Mana

These got critically panned but they really endeared themselves to me for some reason.
Big AGREE on Legend of Mana. I thought SaGa Frontier was just a giant mess, though.
It WAS a mess, but I still loved it for some reason. I also don't think FFXII deserves some of the hate it gets and find it to be one of the strongest entries in the series... if you look hard enough.

Agreed. I've never gotten all the emblems. Ever.

My game of choice that others hate: Star Fox Adventures. Got soooo badly ripped on for breaking the flow, but I liked it a lot.

I'm an adventure gamer. I really enjoy playing through games for story, and I like cutscenes.
Shivers, Phantasmagoria, and Blackstone Chronicles are ones I enjoyed, but most current gamers can't stand.

Cutthroats: Terror on the High Seas

Yes, it was bugged. Yes, it was too easy if you started in 1680, hired all men in Port Royal and instantly sacked it by conquering the Governor's Estate.

Go away, it was (AND IS) the only game that really made you feel like you were a pirate, arr!

Also, I really liked Airline Tycoon: First Class.

And Enter The Matrix, if you did all the cheats you were like a God, haha.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Assassin's Creed, XIII, Advent Rising...

The list goes on and on.

Dark Messiah is just too much fun. Sure it's buggy as hell, but between the incredible melee combat and the inventive way of doing XP - you get skill points at intervals throughout the game, not for accomplishing things or killing enemies, making any skill tree viable. You can actually use stealth to sneak by enemies instead of killing them without worrying about getting less xp.

It's awesome.

I loved sonic the hedgehog.. Uhh I can remember whitch one, but it wasn't one of the classic ones. I loved caring for my little chaos. Others don't think so.

Oh and The Legend of Zelda majora's mask.

Pokemon snap.

I have another, but totally forgot it.

Halo 3. I don't see what all the hate is about. It's really good and is one of the best fps's out there. I don't get it.

Enter the Matrix was good for all the extra video for the Matrix series. But I say that as someone who watched someone else play Enter the Matrix, and who loved the whole Matrix trilogy.

In my close circle of Friends, that would be Fable.
Although it's not so much hatred they feel for it, it's just the sense of insanity or obsession they must get from me for playing a game that's at least four years old and still love it like it's only just come out.

They liked it, but they don't play it anymore.

another, more obvious one, is World of Warcraft, although admittedly i've grown tired of it sucking my money away and have stopped paying for it, thus, i don't play anymore.

(at least until that espansion comes out, then i'll take a quick gander.)

Well it looks like my Final Fantasy XII brothers have already spoken, drat.

Wait, that's right, I like Final Fantasy II as well. Not just in spite of the no level up/random stat gains, but BECAUSE of it. I would grind the hell out of each character just because I'd know I'd get something out of each battle. A random point of strength, leveling up a weapon skill, anything was up for grabs.

I blame Vagrant Story for this, in all its micromanaging splendor. Ever since VS, games like that have inspired me to completely break their complex mechanics.

Earth Defense Force 2017. Yeah, I know that it looks like a piece of crap, but sometimes you just want a game that lets you level a whole city with a rapid-fire rocket-launcher.
EDF 2017 proves that you don't need a gazillion dollar budget to make a fun game. It may a bit low in the production values but I'll be damned if it wasn't a fun pick up and play game. And considering it hit shelves at a budget price well it's a win/win.

FlashBack on the Sega Mega Drive... all my friends taunted me for playing it because they thought it was boring since there was no action!
The reason for them thinking that there was no action was because there was only about 1 enemy on easy mode... I played it on Expert to get the best experiance out of it

Body Harvest on the N64.

It was made by DMA Design, whose curriculum at that time included a series of two weird, little-known PlayStation games called GTA. It's just like GTA (it was actually 3D, unlike the first GTA's's strange bird's eye vision) except instead of shooting thugs, you shoot giant alien insects.

I'm sure that in an alternate universe it's widely considered the first game of the world's best series.
