Resident Evil 4.
Had so much fun all the way through, got right near the end...
And then it crashes whenever I try to go through a necessary door.

Glad I only rented it.

The old Black Isle Games like Fallout II or Planescape. Eventually I'll play something else and then I'll forget half the story, loose the disc, kill my PC or something like that.

Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events.

An epic game with cool inventions but the Peppermint Popper part was unreasonably hard and annoying.

Wow, I can't believe how many people haven't finished Fallout 2. Well, I can understand if you get stuck at Frank Horrigan.

Dragon Age: Origin. I just seemed to have stopped halfway. I don't know if it got too long for me or I something but I haven't continued in awhile. I should really finish it sometime.

I have yet to finish the main quests of Morrowind and Oblivion, even though I've had both for several years now. I've tried to finish them several times, but each time I try to finish them I get about 3/4 through them before I get bored and go exploring. It happens every single time.
This is my answer and what happened to me. Although I only played Oblivion once and hated it. I could kill anything I wanted without thought. I ended up becoming the "infamous Revan of Blades". It didn't actually affect anything, except guards attacked me occasionally. I had a 64k bounty on my head last I checked. I could still pay it off if I ever wanted too. I think this has happened 5 times now.

Timesplitters 2 i think. One of the missions was too hard for a 6-year old i guess. COD 4 and WaW i never got to max prestige...

Pretty much any of the Shin Meguni Tensei/Persona games. I love those games, but tend to get bored around the 60 hour mark due to all the grinding and monster collecting. To this day, I haven't beaten any of them, but it is one of my favorite series.

Oblivion, I find the hell gates to be so boring. I love questing, not going into what amounts to a Doom area of the game with my stealth character.

Rule of Rose, it is a survival horror with of an orphanage mixed with Lord of the Flies. The story is amazing, but the battle system is so broken. Your weapon goes through bad guys at times, it is easy to get knocked down and can't do anything, the bosses are incredibly cheap. I got really far just.... ugh.

Baldurs gate 2 and neverwinter nights.

I was playing both at the same time and had to wipe my hard drive.

Was soooo close to finishing both of them I couldn't bear starting again.

Oh man, don't get me started on sandbox games. I think that for a good solid two years, I would play GTA: Vice City at my buddy's place over a few beers. In that time, I don't think I played any of the actual missions. We just went on rampages and tried to see how long it took to be brought down. That was the entire game for us. LOL
