If you can't tell by my avatar, I'm a big fire emblem fan. These games don't get much love outside of a small cult following. In fact sales have been poor enough that the sequel to shadow dragon wasn't released outside of japan.

Simply Einhander. I know it's just a horizontal SHMUP, but the gameplay is more fun than the usual SHMUP and the presentation and music...those are pretty much the sellers.

Just see for yourself. This is before Squaresoft joined Enix. And even still, I want the sequel! Where's my Zweihander?!

Perfect Dark, Legend of Dragoon, and the Baten Kaitos series. Sure they're older games but damn they're so good!

I don't hear very much about Beneath a Steel Sky, which sucks, because it kicks ass.
It's like 1984 with quirkiness instead of bleakness.
It features:
*A sarcastic robot sidekick
*A jukebox that makes a bunch of weird sex jokes
*More Freudian Slips than you could ever desire
*A figure by the name of "Mr. Cool"
*Some of the catchiest music ever to be in a game
*Some of the most amusing characters in videogame history
*Art and some direction by Dave Gibbons
*Robert Foster is great
*IT'S FREE
Plus a freaking dave gibbons comic at the start. the only downside is that the australian accents are just bad
Haha, I know. Personally, I regard the voice acting the same way I regard the original Resident Evil's voice acting; I know it couldn't be more awful if it were performed by depressed rabbits, but it's actually so bad that it has some sort of endearing quality.

inFAMOUS 2. It was overshadowed by the vastly inferior Duke Nukem: Forever at the time of its release, so I can see why it never really got its time to shine. I think Yahtzee's positive review of the game at least got it a bit more if the credit it deserves, IMO.
This. inFamous 2 is a fantastic game and should have been in more top 5 lists of 2011, but that's just my opinion. That and inFamous 1 never got their own time to shine.

Other than that, I never see anyone talking about my beloved LBP series.. Seriously, they may be kiddie games, but they can get challenging and are always fun to play.

Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars. It is an old game but it is a fine mix of RPG and RTS but i feel like i was the only one with a copy of that game let alone the gold edition. It looks like even the its own developer forgot about it.
there was an expansion not long ago for that game

Metro 2033. I haven't seen many people talking about it. I might just be unobservant though. I don't know.

I think the first GBA Fire Emblem released in the west deserves more attention. It is truly one of the greatest games of all time.

Legacy of Kain. All of it. I love it so much, but nobody knows about it. Makes me depressed.

Uhh....
You know, that's probably it for my favourite games ATM. Got really tired of all the others. Either the sequel was extremely disheartening, and like losing all your save files for a game I have no will left to play the original again, or there just isn't that much to hold my interest after a while.

So... Yeah. My favourite games, and no-one talks about them so far as I see.

God bless you my good man. Perhaps there is hope after all.

Robot Alchemic Drive and Fighting Force.
I have seen the glory that is Robot Alchemic Drive. The extremely silly plot, the wonderfully bad voice acting, the fun and hardly controllable gameplay and the only game with proper weight behind their robots makes this a true gem among mecha games (which I almost universally dislike).

Dokapon Kingdom. Pretty mediocre presentation, but the gameplay is perfectly balanced between skill and luck (as all board games should be), and is surprisingly deep. I'd play that bad boy over Mario Party any day of the week... except Mario Party day.

I'm so glad someone has actually heard of it.

The Suikoden Series, always the Suikoden Series. Brilliant and severely under-appreciated and now a dead series in North America because of that, though the Core Series seems to be dead in Japan as well, dooming any future Suikoden Games to "side story" status.

*******War of the Monsters- for the PS2. Seriously, i thought for the longest time i was the only person that played it. But in retrospect i havent been able to track down a copy of it used. Although i only looked at gamestop, which garners me some hatred from people who hate gamestop. I've only ever had 1 bad experience with them, but i digress...

*******Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and HAWX. Both of those games were amazing and the multiplayer in R6V2 is actually balanced and every gun is useful even the crappier pistols. I use the G18 and the L86A2. Its the best gun for me, besides the AUG.

*******Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. I had a mint condition copy for the PC and i loved it. The races, the cars, the cop chases that you could drag on for hours by driving backwards lol. It was amazing.

I'm like \o/excited\o/ for Dota2 but people here seem to be getting sick of MOBA in general. It's unfortunate but w/e, I'll enjoy it regardless of its popularity among the escapist.

Just four Fire Emblem mentions, and only two of them are of Path of Radiance. That series needs more love.

Supreme Commander and its Forged Alliance expansion could stand to be acknowledged as well. At least once in a blue moon? Somewhere? Come on guys, those were fun strategy games.

And Ratchet and Clank/Jak and Daxter. I especially liked the third game in both of those series.

That might be because Metro 2033 is unintuitive, has terrible level design, unclear objectives, and overall comes off as slightly pretentious.
But that's just my opinion, I could be in the wrong here.
OT: Star Wars: Republic Commando.
