Saint's Row 2. If it were just a bit more buggy, it would be literally unplayable. Seriously, the driving's so broken I sometimes rather walk, but even that is hard to do in this game. And I can't tell you how many times I've gotten stuck in buildings or in a perpetual falling loop. Also, the Fight Club missions... I can't even beat them since pushing 1 and 2 doesn't work most of the time.

But I still like it, it's still fun to go on rampages during breaks in University.

Seconding Morrowind. Favorite game ever, but besides the game engine being broken, you also have a lame magic system, combat, AI, Cliff Racers, and a few other things that aren't making it to the front of my mind while I write this. It's started to make me wonder if the greatness of games are directly proportional to the amount of bugs a game has. Sacred 2 is probably my second favorite game (I just love what they did with its game system and world), and I couldn't get anywhere because of the crashes I had in it.

Tremulous, no ones heard of it I bet......... It's an open-source game. And its got HUGE balance issues. I still want people to play it more. It would make the community more fun, and make Tremulous more well-known.

Final Fantasy!
Well, some of them.
FF13 is especially flawed, but I still adore the series.

I will say halo 3 yes over-hyped and bland but when you have some good music and voice acting and good story and a few friends I always have a good time

also oblivion and fallout 3 full of glitches (well fallout 3 didn't have that many)but they're fun because of that

...then I went and popped in disc 2.
Yep. Killed the game for me, too.
Well, I wouldn't necessarily say it "killed" the game for me, or else I wouldn't be mentioning it in a thread about games I loved despite their flaws, because disc 1 was so awesome that it's hard to completely ruin it.

And even in disc 2, I guess the hours upon hours of cutscenes you have to sit through don't tell a completely TERRIBLE story, even though you'd be better off actually watching a real movie or TV series to get it. Plus, when you FINALLY do get some control over your characters again, it's kinda' fun. But still, you have a first disc that represents the absolute BEST of what JRPGs have to offer, and a second disc that completely represents EVERYTHING that could ever possibly be wrong about them. And the sad fact is that it's the format they've actually been TRYING to follow lately; FFXIII is almost more Xenogears disc 2 than Xenogears disc 2, and that's WITHOUT all of their funding suddenly drying up so that Square could pump out the steaming pile of excrement that was FFVIII.

But yeah. All three of my suggestions (Xenogears, Bloodlines, and KOTOR2) are perfect examples of the "meant to do more but the funding dried up" syndrome.

Medal Of Honor Allied Assault. Oh wait you said a flawed game.

Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway. It was so repetitive but how emotional it was saved it.

Too Human, man i love my Norse Mythology, hell this is Cyber Punk Norse Mythology... Win right!?

Wrong. The graphics are Ok, Voice Acting is standard but fuck me is the combat system fucked. I mean, who uses the Right analog stick on a controller to attack!? Whats wrong with B or O for you PS3 Nubs. (I jest, i jest :p) As people say, don't fix it if its not broke.

Hopefully they can rescue the series in 2, although i have not heard anything on it so i wont hold my breath.

P.S. Still love the game tho :p

The reason I have hope. [http://www.team-gizka.org/index.html]
Christ, I remember reading about that thing 5 years ago - it'll never be finished.

Let it go, so that we can stalk lead execs at LA until they agree to make KotOR 3.

I used to play that loads :D

I think the game was actually fairly balanced, sure S1 humans got screwed, and S2 humans > S2 aliens, and camp fests were a more than regular occurence, it still managed to be fun and keep a relatively even 50/50 win/loss on maps like ATCS.

The real problem was when half the active playerbase on the server decide pushcannon is the best map to ever exist in the history of the world. The game generally goes downhill from there.

X3 Terran Conflict, at release it could charitably be called "beta" they rely on players modding around most of the major issues and the interface is clunky as hell.

BUT

It's made by a company that has roughly 12 employees, it's addictive as crack and is one of the few games that really does let you play it ANY WAY YOU LIKE.
Also, the company CEO often makes an appearance on the forums (and not in a condecending way), a lot of player mod features and ship models made it into the current version including the entire frigate class of ships.
Ditto. I love that game to.

Or I would, if I could play it for more than 7 hours without the saves corrupting.

I am awaiting a new patch. If that fails to fix it then I might well give up on it.
Im so lost in that game, All it did was tell me how to move and now i have no idea what im supposed to do.

OT: Im going to agree with oblivon, Such a buggy game but so awesome.

Earth Defense Force 2017.

Technically a mess, ugly as hell. Fun...It's got it.
Someone else who realizes this game is amazing. Plus co-op, a rarity in games.

Phantasy Star IV, if you level past 99 your stats start dropping dramatically, moves vanish, skills gone. This is something easily dodged, you could beat the game at level 60 easily.
The other problem is it has random encounters worse than pokemon, that says something.

PoP: The Sands of Time

That elevator section near the end was unbearably frustrating. And yes, I consider that section a HUGE flaw.

But God, the game itself was magnificant.
