Games you love to play... except for that one part!

I love everything about Batman: Arkham Knight except for the god forsaken Batmobile boss fights and the Batmobile stealth sections. The only boss fight, if you can call it that, I enjoyed in the Batmobile is the one with Firefly. After that the two with the Arkham Knight and the extremely underwhelming one with Deathstroke are just terrible. The game would have been a thousand times better without them.

Either of the missions in Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker which require you to go to Mt. Fuji.

It's snowing on Mt. Fuji. It's also the largest map by a fair margin (with the possible exception of the final boss) and features infinitely-respawning demons, all of which have long-range abilities to snipe you across wide railings and pits. Both times, completion requires that you hit switches scattered across the map in highly inconvenient positions, guaranteeing that this mission will usually take over twice as long to complete as any other, even in a New Game Plus.

Funny, I had the opposite problem. Why can't they both die?

Flight and Phantasma made that map painless for me, the one that got to me was the theater map.

The MegaMan Battle network games almost all have one scenario I hate doing, 1 is Elecman, 2 is Freezeman, 3 is Flameman, 4 is practically the whole game, 5 is Shadow/Gyro, 6 is Diveman.

The bypass minigame from ME2, because it(and only it) lagged so horribly I needed multiple attempts on each one.

Mass Effect--the opening of the game when you're wandering around the Citadel. I appreciate the world building and feel the other two games could have used more of it, but man...how about we break it up a little guys? I thought I was supposed to be able to shoot things.

Mass Effect 3--The ending. The second you turn into stumbling Shepard going toward the light, the game just dies. Extra frustrating when playing that part on insanity. Stupid Husks.

Someone already mentioned the Fade mission in Dragon Age Origins. I second that. Too long and too much of a break from the game's story.

I loved the Fade in Origins the first time I played it. Yet on each replay it got more on more annoying, as I genuyinely hate (in gaming and real life) having to backtrack over the same ground in a day (or play).

Thank god for the Skip the Fade mod on PC.

Guild Wars: Prophecies et al. Every. Freakin'. Escort. Quest. There's a special place in Hell for escort quest designers, but in GW1 they went above and beyond. There's a ton of them as you go through the story missions, and the person you're escorting is inevitably slow as an arthritic sloth, has the health of a corpse, and fights like a newborn kitten.

I loved GW1 (albeit some expansions more than others), but depressing number of horrid escort quests and the fact that mobs were linked (you couldn't pull one no matter how far he was from his mates, agroing one agroed the entire group) mar my otherwise fond memories.

To be more accurate than some people are being: Resident evil 3, the water puzzle... who designed that and why do they hate us so much!

MGS4, what the FUCK is with the microwave tunnel!? Who Thought that was a good idea? "Right, we have this tunnel that cooks snake ... you know what would be immersive? If we made the players arms burn with lactic acid from beating the triangle button like it owes them money!".

FFX: dodge 200 thunderbolts ... no fuck you! Ok, so race this chocobo to the end of the course with a time of 00:00:00 ... what!? Oh and will you capture every monster for me? Didn't realise I was playing fucking pokemon!

Dragon age: Fade. Nuff sed!

Metroid Prime. Love the game except that one part in Phendrana drifts where you have to go into the space pirate base to acquire the thermal visor and the super missles.

it would be a fun area if they didn't force you to back track right back to beginning of the base as soon as you got the thermal visor.

Bioshock: Anytime you fight a Big Daddy they are basically bullet sponges

Dark Souls: When there is more than one boss

Wolfenstein Old Blood: The stealth sequances

Deus ex Human revolution: Boss battles especially the second one where the only way to win is to spam Typhoon and was 3 Praxis points if you mostly go Stealth

I'd say Megaman Battle Network series as well.. And it's probably my all time favorite game series.

I'd say a couple of different parts though. I never played 1 or 2, but for me it's:

3: I thought Wily's castle was the worst (those fucking cranes).
4: I didn't mind the game too much, but Topman and Shadowman's parts were the fucking worst in the entire fucking franchise.
5: Searchman/Numberman's, and Magnetman/Knightman's areas are far more obnoxious than Gyro/Shadows parts to be honest. Gyro/Shadow's was actually relatively easy.
6: The game was pretty forgettable and easy. I actually can't remember any of the puzzles. I just remember fighting Blastman too many times. So I'll just say that.

My favorite part of the franchise will always be the series plot jump from overheating ovens, to a meteor that's going to wipe out the human race.
The Wily comps from 3 were in contention, but I really hate when the games resort to making wandering around the net a dungeon(Or almost all the dungeons, in the case of 4), plus I have played the game enough that I just know the timings. Hence my dislike of Shadow/Gyro in 5 since it turns the net into the dungeon, has you retrace through a previous dungeon, and has you run through the stupid squirrel comp. Personally, I like Searchman/Numberman's since I am one of the weirdos that liked the 100 man challenge minigame.

That's because you don't believe in true love, puppies or the God-Emperor of Mankind.

You dare question my faith in the Emperor, who sits on the Golden Throne?

I dare! In a scenario where the life a faithful xenophobe and a sanctioned psyker are on the line, you choose to not only let the Xenos of your team live, but to let two humans die.

I may have to contact the Ordos to question you.
