I've quite a list, since I buy games on how well they are received by others.

Super Metroid
Splinter Cell series
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
C&C First Decade Pack
Counter-Strike (of course)
Max Payne
Quake III
Psychonauts
FarCry
Deus Ex

Yeah, I realize it's a "Who's-Who" of "safe" games. But that's probably why I liked them.

Probably others but I can't remember them at this current time.

I recently started playing DoW Dark Crusade. I then realized how amazingly badass Warhammer 40K was.

I really want to try out tabletop game, but I still am trying to find one of my friends who has the means to and the desire of playing the game.

Bioshock - The best opening to any game I've ever played.

Final Fantasy X - Because the opening song, To Zanarkand, is the most beautiful piano piece I've ever heard. Ever.

Okami - Because you only need to look at it to fall in love with that gorgeous masterpiece of interactive art.

Uncharted: Among Thieves - Because it was freaking intense. And it kept topping itself in awesomeness.

And more, but these are some of the biggest examples.

All of the Fire Emblems I've played (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11). My current favorite series, yay!

Except for Roy's game, 6. Roy can go die.

Oddly enough, .hack//Infection. The whole idea of playing a game inside of a game entranced me when I was, like, 8 years old.

My first Zelda, Wind Waker. So pretty~

FF7: Crisis Core. Not the original FF7 itself though. I had a hard time giving a damn about Cloud in the first couple hours of the game, opinion of him tainted with unjustified hatred due to rabid FF7 fanboys.

FF10.

...

I really hate Roy.

Well, let's see. Listed in no particular order: Halo, Gears of War, Warhammer 40K Dawn of War, Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 2, Starcraft, Starcraft 2 (future opinion), Assassin's Creed, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Portal, Red Faction: Guerrilla. I'm fairly sure there are more, but I can't remember them right off hand. I hope this list is pretty explanatory.

Not to mention having the expendable cash to get the rules and the codex and the models along with it.

Red Dead redemption, who knew shooting westerners in the head and watching brains fly out the other side could be so satisfying.

Although I can't really say I "love" the game entirely, (having only rented it once, and seeing no need for purchase or further rental), Twisted Metal: Black for PS2 springs to mind for causing an instant reaction. When the first few notes of Paint It, Black play as the camera swoops through a freeze-frame of destruction, the game had won me over before I had pushed a button.

Assassin's Creed, Guitar Hero 1 (none of the others), Prince of Persia WW, and Portal. Though I think Portal doesn't count because I loved it before I even played it.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Assassin's Creed 1 & 2, of course. What else would I pick other than games from my top two favorite series?

For me? Tony Hawk: Pro Skater, Secret of Mana and (at the risk of showing my age) Yar's Revenge.
