Games you originally hated and/or dismissed but later played and loved

yeah at first I hated mass effect 1, but eventually I played it through to the end and it was great, and then I went on to play mass effect 2 and it is in my opinion one of the best games ever made, perhaps the very best.

since then I always keep an open mind to games and try to give them a decent try before talking crap about them (even a mediocre game like the tron movie game I completed) infact if I own a game I am determined to finnish it.

Half-Life 2. I originally disliked it because I kept getting forced down to play it while having to listen to the people forcing me to do it spouted off about how it's the greatest game ever made. Recently however I bought it in a sale and played it on my own terms, and once I was in the mood to play it I liked it. Some bits were annoying as fuck, but on the whole a good game.

The Original Mass Effect for me. I just didn't have the time for it, and then Mass Effect 2 came out and I wanted to transfer a player so I played it and blew my mind.

Infamous is on my list, Metal Gear Solid as well.

World of warcraft is a bit different, I hated it, I loved it I quit it and hated it all over again

Bulletstorm: looked like a mindless shooter; picked it up for $10.00 and loved it.
Bioshock 2: looked like a crappy version of Bioshock 1; picked it up for $4.25 and loved it for the story.
